Animation Academy at DHS - times?

Does anyone know if there are posted times (somewhere) for the Animation Academy part of the Magic of Disney Animation at DHS? We would like to do this part only, not the beginning movie part which we have done in the past.

And do you know where it is? I know where the theatre exit is, and I know the characters are at the exit there (we saw the Incredibles there in January), but I don't know where the "Academy" part is or how it is scheduled. Thanks!

During peak times, it runs about every 20-30 minutes. You can get to it by entering through the Animation Store.

We do this every trip, one of our favorite free souvies.

If I was entering the Animation area through the store, which I have done before (imagine coming through so the Incredibles set up was right in front of you and the exit to the theatre is on your right) - where is the Academy entrance? Does it have a door or a line or anything?

It will be on your immediate right after you enter through the store. My recollection it runs 30 minutes.....on every hour and half hour. We did this last month and enjoyed it very much.

You can't miss it. It has a section to sit in while waiting for the next session. They have some displays where you guess the characters as they are being drawn. This is a must do for us. DD loves to draw.

Do they repeat the same animation each session or are they switched after each one. I would love to do several different ones,but wonder how often each session changes

Depends on the animator. Sometime they give the crowd a choic i.e. mickey or Goofy~ Some times they announce the next time, some times it is just the luck of the draw...(pun intended)


We have a sheaf of mickeys...another 100 or so times, may be able to tell that's who it is!
