Ill be at Animal Kingdom Saturday August 27th. I have breakfast res at Tusker with my 5 year old son. I was planning on just doing quick service rest of the day, but now I am second guessing it. We are staying at AKL. Any suggestions for dinner with 5 year old or just stick with counter service at AK?

Thats a personal preference. Mara menu is online to check out. You probably dont want Boma another buffet same day. There is a lot a great walk up food in AK.

Your five year old is going to love Tusker House breakfast!
For lunch or dinner, we really like Yak and Yeti but haven't tried the new place yet.

FlameTree BBQ is my favorite dining location at WDW!

I really like the QS food at AK. Flame Tree BBQ has always been good when we have eaten there. I love egg rolls from Y&Y, and samosas from Mr. Kamals. I could just snack the rest of the day and be happy - but there are a lot of good QS options at the park.

Also, I don't hate the Mara QS at AKL. You could always grab something there once you get back if you wanted to as well.

We've never had bad QS at AK. Flame Tree is our favourite but the others have been good so far.

I agree with others. Plan on flame tree. The bbq is delicious and the perfect dinner.
