I need tips on how to tackle Animal Kingdom Park next week. I haven't been in 4 years? And I've only been once to this park. I'm going next Sunday. Advice??!!!

Thanks!

19 trips to the World and counting! :wizard:

I can tell you that, if its crowded, you'll definitely need FPs for EE, Dinosaur, and KS unless you want to wait in pretty long lines. (The crowds may not be bad when you're there, though...) We've always managed to do AK in a half day. But when doing that we skip out on walking around to see the animals. It's usually too hot when we go. We'll definitely do a lot more sight-seeing at AK this December!

We went two weeks ago. Get there prior to the park opening because the opening show is nice. Then go to Expedition Everest and ride it using the standby line. If you really like it, ride again and then get a fast pass for later in the day.

Most people advise going on the Safari early because the animals are more active but, really, anytime before noon is fine unless it is just blazing hot. We went around 1pm and actually had one of the best experiences we'd ever had and it was a pretty warm day. We walked right on.

Keep an eye on the show schedule because they are only offered periodically. The Festival of the Lion King is a "must see".

Remember that Kali River Rapids will get you wet so do this as you exit the park. Keep your feet off the floor and on the bar footrest on the circular thing in front and you won't have to slosh around in wet shoes all day. White t-shirts not advised.

Catch G-Force in Dinoland USA, if you can. They're an impressive trampouline act. We enjoyed "Smear, Splat, & Dip" in this area too.

See Divine - you'll have to look for her - in Asia. She is amazing.

We also really enjoyed the Karuka Acrobats in Africa,

The times guide doesn't do the best job w/ AK entertainment so click on the Animal Kingdom link at http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

As a solo visitor I have followed the following plan for Animal Kingdom a couple of times and it's worked well for me ...

(1) Be there at opening, and walk to the Safari area and get a fastpass. (2) Stroll through the Pangani Forest Trail. You will be almost alone, with a good chance to talk with the CMs on duty. Take your time and enjoy the animals, especially the gorilla. (3) Using your fastpass, ride the Safari. (4) Walk to the Lion King Show, as it should be tme for the show. Enjoy it. (5) By this time, it should be time for lunch. I like the Pizzfari for this stop. Pizza and a cold beer for me. (6) My next stop is the 3-D Bug show. (7) Then I wander over to Expedition Everest and ride it a couple of times, using the single rider line.

After that I finish up the day with Dinosaur, and the River Rapids ride if it's a warm day. But since the new Nemo Musical may be running by the time I next visit, I will probably want to see that, perhaps skipping the last two rides in the interest of saving time.

Since the Animal Kingdom closes early, I plan something for the evening hours, sometime having dinner at the House of Blues followed with the Circus.

Enjoy.
