Hi all! I have been looking everywhere for a DETAILED map of AKV.....one that shows BUS STOPS and ALL of the pools and what areas that will be open when we arrive May 17th.

My question.......to anyone who has stayed there recently...........where is a good place to request a room? :confused3 We have ressies for a 1 bedroom standard view "Jambo"villa (deluxe because we need the 5th person chair/bed).

I usually am able to view a detailed map and I look for a room between a bus stop and pool. I call DVC and they note my request and I have never been disappointed. I would like to do the same this time but I have no idea what is a better area since #1 it is under construction still and #2 I have never been to the AK villas!
THANKS A BUNCH to anyone that can help!:flower3:

Kidani Village will not be open until sometime in 2009. Currently there is only one pool, one bus stop. I'm not sure the rooms at Jambo House have the sleeper chair. They might be too small to give you the full effect of AKV.

thank you for confirming the one bus stop. After reading other threads, this is what it sounded like.
I have confirmed with dvc reservationist that I have a room with a king size bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a single sleeper chair.
DVC sent me a beautiful (if somewhat useless) map but it does not have anything labeled Jambo house. In fact, it shows the lobby of the villas not even being complete until may 08.....do you check in at the resort lobby?
I guess we will find out soon enough, I am a little obsessive about details and I just like knowing what to expect. Just thought since they opened this past fall, someone could give me an insiders view to the villa area.
Thanks again for responding!

All the villas that are opened at AKV are located on the 5th and 6th floor of the main building of AKL. This is considered Jambo house, they are slightly smaller than the villas that will be going in the new Kidiani Village. They only have 1 bathroom, not 2 like the new constructions ones will have. So until these are completed,Spring 2009, all the facilities are shared with the exisiting ones at AKL.
