I never need to make a request for a value room because the choice is either pool or savannah and either is fine with me. No value is as much walking as a Kidani villa.
There's also parking lot. I still don't make requests but there is a small chance of not getting pool or savanna.I never need to make a request for a value room because the choice is either pool or savannah and either is fine with me. No value is as much walking as a Kidani villa.
ETA: I have added value room requests via online chat, ive done it for all 3 resorts I’m staying at inAugust
Yes 8am ET which is 1pm in UK (apart from about 2 weeks in the year when the clock change happens later). So do think that for a UK visitor like us that getting two weeks in a value 1 bed villa is going to be too difficult ? Your essentially waiting for everyone else to walk their reservation like you said a day to free it up.
so UK time is 1pm for us to make DVC bookings?
I just put in a request for room 5124 or anything on ostrich trail, which has 8 value studio rooms facing the savannah and 2 car park, so fairly good odds.Curious what your requests were for the value rooms? Dedicated vs connecting or something else?
Are you sure about the savanna view numbers? I was in a value studio this summer there, and my parents were right next to us. We were 5112 and 5114.There are actually 8 dedicated value studios. Savanna View: 5120, 5122, 5124, 5126. Pool View: 5014, 5016, 5018, 5020. We request dedicated studios wherever we can but we don't bother when booking Value studios because there are so few that would be coming open on a given day that you pretty much just get whatever there is.

Sorry, not trying to confuse.I'm confused. As far as I know, the only DVC resort which has value rooms is AKV-Jambo House. So what 3 resorts are you referring to?
Those wouldn't be dedicated studios though....they would have each been part of lockoffs if I have the right rooms. Are you sure about the savanna view numbers? I was in a value studio this summer there, and my parents were right next to us. We were 5112 and 5114.
I just looked at a map on a site I’m not sure if I’m allowed to reference, but confirmed that you are indeed correct, in that 5112 and 5114 are next door to each other, but on the other ends of each of them are lock offs. Definitely good to know that there are actually 8 savanna view value studios, you can potentially book, though they may be otherwise booked as a 2BR.Those wouldn't be dedicated studios though....they would have each been part of lockoffs if I have the right rooms.
Have you had success in the last 3 years getting values this way? What month were you shooting for? (Easter 2022 is now about 11 mos away for example, and I figure that to be impossible to get). While there's never a guarantee, for that time of year if you are on right at 8AM 11 months out there shouldn't be a problem. I tend to get nervous so would probably grab it earlier than necessary and walk it but they don't normally require that.
I've booked Value rooms 4-5 times in the past few years. The 1BR's aren't generally difficult to get (that's the room size I was referring to in that post). Studios and 2BR's are a whole different ballgame and I'd start well in advance to have more shots at getting them.Have you had success in the last 3 years getting values this way? We got back from a trip and we ended up getting a pool view room that was a dedicated studio. It was nice because I believe they could add an additional closet which really helpedI just put in a request for room 5124 or anything on ostrich trail, which has 8 value studio rooms facing the savannah and 2 car park, so fairly good odds.
The other 8 value studios are on giraffe trail and are pool views
