I've been to WDW many times and I was just curious on how everyone else tours Animal Kingdom? Is there a quick way?

I love the Animal Kingdom and think you should take your time and enjoy all the details. But a couple of tips. If you get to the gate and there's a big crowd waiting to get in try going into the Rainforest Cafe. There's a gate at the back of the gift shop and I've never seen a line there. The only other thing you might want to think about is that the animals seem to be more active early in the day so go on the safari first thing. Then just work you way around the park until your done. DON'T miss the Festival of the Lion King. It's one of the greatest shows at Disney.

We don't tour quickly, either. AK is a beautiful park, one that offers a lot in the way of scenery to those who slow down and look. :thumbsup2

If you do want to tour quickly (why?), bear in mind the key attractions (KS and EE) will remain busy all day. FastPass is a good idea for each of them. And I agree 100% with pennylynn...FOTLK is one of the best shows in the World.

I don't really think there's a quick way. We generally plan our day around the shows we want to see (Lion King, Flights of Wonder, and Tarzan (Nemo when it opens)). We've yet to manage to see the whole park in a day (and that was before EE), and we use fastpass when it's available. Our touring trick is to so Kali late in the day and ride it multiple times without getting off, since it's not nice to be soaking wet in January.

It is also a huge park, I am thinking that it is something like 4 times the size of MK or something, its the biggest park around, maybe the biggest theme park in size in the world, I'm not sure about that, but its a close one if not. I do know it is by far the biggest Dis park. I would think along the lines of doing MGM or Epcot faster than trying to do this one fast.

I guess quickly was the wrong word. I love the AK and usually do see all the shows but it always seems like we're going from side to side.

We usually do the safari in the morning and then we end up back-tracking because that's in the back of the park. That's what I was wondering about but I guess it really doesn't matter because we do cover everything and it's a full day.

Thanks everyone!

When you go to AK you don't necessarily want to go "quick". We usually plan at least one whole day to be there. I like to take my time and look at everything. I am not a big ride type of person so I like to wander around while the others are on Dinosaur or something like that.
I like the shows, especially the Lion King! it's amazing! I could go see that several times in a day. Just go and have fun but take your time if you can. Helen
