Does anyone know how many people the suites at Animal Kingdom sleep? We're not sure if we should get two rooms or check into what the suites are like. We'll have two adults and 4 children. Thanks.

Last June I stayed in the concierge part of AKL we had two adults and 3 kids we had a bunk bed, and two twin beds Guess what for the fourth child, room service can pull out the bed from the couch for them

Ps hope you have a good trip!!!

A one-bedroom suite sleeps six. (two queen sized beds in bedroom, and a pull out sofa.)

Peterd, you have 2 adults & 4 kids... Hhhmmmm... According to the WDW website -- AKL room layouts, the most a deluxe room would sleep would be five people. You can check to see if the AKL has rollaway beds (give them a call). If they do, that would solve your odd-man/girl-out problem. If they don't, then two rooms would suit your needs.

I have stayed in both one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites at the AKL. The one-bedroom suite can sleep either four people or six people, depending upon the suite's configuration (it comes with either a king-sized bed and a queen-sized sofa sleeper, or 2 queen-sized beds and a queen-sized sofa sleeper). If you need to sleep six people, make sure you have that noted on your reservation. To take a look at the suites, here's my link: Janet2k's On-Line Photo Albums

Thanks for the info. Lately we've been staying at the Hard Rock in two rooms in the beginning of our trip, go to the Boardwalk for a two bedroom or the GV, then we go back to the Hard Rock, (Our kids love IOA and Universal and front of the line). In Nov. we've been thinking about trying the AKL at the end of the trip this time. Janet how many people did the two bedroom suite sleep? We do have 5 kids, but we never know if the college aged one or my mother in-law can make it. I was wondering if it would be worth getting two connecting rooms or a two bedroom. Thanks again for all the info.

Peterd, the two-bedroom suite at the AKL was definitely overkill for my immediate family as there are just four of us -- my husband, our teenaged son, our young daughter, and myself. It slept nine people easily -- it should be perfect for your family. It had one huge bathroom, one regular bathroom, and one half-bathroom. Again, perfect for your family (hee hee!). There was also one huge balcony and one regular-sized balcony.

Take a look at the photos of that suite that I have posted in my on-line photo album (link in my prior posting). You should see the following:

master bedroom -- king-sized bed (sleeps 2)

second bedroom -- queen-sized bed (sleeps 2), set of bunk beds (sleeps 2), and day bed (sleeps 1)

parlor room -- queen-sized sofa sleeper (sleeps 2)

I forget what the price was per night. You could contact Dreams Unlimited Travel, the owner of the Dis website, for pricing and a reservation -- I have used them before and they were wonderful. Dreams Unlimited Travel's website

We'll be staying in the 2 bdrm suite this coming November. We'll arrive 11/10. If I remember correctly, our rate is somewhere around 1,100-1,200 a night.

I can't wait.

Carriep1657, that sounds like an excellent rate. I hope you have a wonderful vacation!

Janet2k, I checked and the rate we have is $1110 + tax. I thought it wasn't that bad considering that we'd be concierge and the room can sleep so many.

We had checked on the October rate and I believe it was about $150 more a night.

I can't believe it's only 7 1/2 more months.
