Animal kingdom studio sav view vs wilderness lodge studios?

Going for a stay in January 2017 and wanted to get some opinions on preference. AKV studio savannah view vs wilderness lodge studios. Have a 3 1/2 year old who loves animals but afraid of the distance to the parks. What are ideas on this

VWL is still going to have construction. I think the distance to the parks at AKL is overstated.

If you plan to spend time at the resort for naps or relaxation, AKL until VWL is really done.

I much prefer Kidani, because of the water play area.

Definitely AKL, the buses are no where near as bad as people make them out to be.

Kidani and Jambo both have their strengths and weaknesses. I personally like Jambo because it's the "main" building. I'm not sure what the best location is but it can be a little bit of a walk to get to the far ends of the wings. There are 3 Savannah studios in the lobby, and the rest are on Kudu and Zebra. I would just try to get close to the lobby to avoid the walking.

We have stayed at both (we own at AKV) and I can honestly say that both are great. The distance thing for AKL/AKV is not a big deal at all. WE have never noticed an issue. If you stay at Kidani, the buses actually stop there first (except for the Disney Springs bus). I dont think you would go wrong with either, except for the construction aspect.

I prefer AKL over VWL. Especially after our last stay.The buses are not that bad - and fairly frequent for AKL.

Personally, I like Kidani.

For studios, I prefer Jambo
(Since there is no in room kitchen and Jambo has good QS dining)

I would also suggest close to lobby (not elevator, there are elevator banks far from the lobby)
If I had a choice, I would choose the main Arusha savanna.

For studios, I prefer Jambo, too.

IMO, the resort around WL looks horrid with all the cut trees as you approach the dock.

I would stay at AKL. Your little one will love the Savanna view.

I do love VWL but as others said, construction will likely be an issue at that time.
