Other than breakfastasaurous- where is the best buufets or counter service at AK?

Hi Krismom,

Here's a list...no buffets in the Park that I know of. If you see a menu that appeals to you, that would be the one I'd try. Or do a search on these boards for a particular restaurant you're interested in.

Tusker House is my favorite for both breakfast and lunch. Huge portions, terrific quality, and an dair conditioned dining room all make it perfect on a hot day.

Flame Tree BBQ comes in second. The food there is also excellent, and the menu is completely different from Tusker House, but the dining area is outdoor.

You could also try the Rainforest Cafe just outside the park entrance. In my experience, this one is far superior to the Rainforest at Downtown Disney, and is seldom crowded.

The A/C at Tusker House is a great plus, but I prefer the food at Flame Tree - I can taste that fantastic beef sandwich right now, yummm!

They're counter service. IMHO, AK has the best counter service in WDW (okay, Epcot probably ties!)

On a related question... what restaurants if any are open during EMH at AK?

Another vote for the Tusker House. The portions are large (mom and I can easily split a meal) and they are tasty. I love the fact that it is not just your basic burger/hotdog place.
