Animal Kingdom Lodge Room Request Help

We will be staying for 3 nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Savannah Bunk Bed room this April. Only being there for 3 nights and spending the extra money, I would like to try and request a room that will have the best animal views. I've read through many past posts and know that I should request a 3rd or 4th floor room. After that I got a bit confused. It sounds like zebra trail was the way to go, but halfway down the hall and facing a certain direction? I don't want my request to get too complicated. Would I be safe to just ask for 3rd or 4th floor on the zebra trail or should I be requesting something else? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I say keep it simple and generic. I would probably say "Zebra Trail, High Floor". And I would also list the request in the order you want it - would you prefer high floor or zebra trail - and list that first.

your first request is what matters more your second matters less...in the end neither may be granted or both.... There are no bad places at AKL in a Savannah view room.. there are different Savannahs.. I would say request a lower floor that is my preference.. we own DVC and at Jambo all rooms on the 5th floor I stayed at Kadani and had a lower floor (2nd) and enjoyed that view more but that is me.... To set your expectations.. you will only see animals when they are feed on the Savannah you are on, they are not out all the time. Take note of which savannah you are on go to the main viewing area speak to one of the guides and they will tell you the nest time to see animals on your savannah-- but nice things do happen on all at different times-- lastly the best views are actually from the main viewing area outside the lobby around 5 and later as this when guests come to eat at Boma so they feed the animals well and there are a lot... make sure you read the resort schedule as they have activities through out the day with some good opportunities... lastly if you are expecting to wake up early go to the parks come back late you will likely be disappointed SPEND TIME AT THE RESORT.... sorry for the caps but it is important and worth it.....
