Animal Kingdom January

I am going to be in Orlando in January and thought I would visit Animal Kingdom. I have been to the other parks many times, but never AK. Can you give me tips, pointers, advise??? and what should I expect from AK in January? Thank you

We love Animal Kingdom. Disney did an excellent job in making you feel like you're in Africa and Asia. There are some great rides like Dinosaur, Safari, and Bug's Life that are not to be missed. Do these as early as possible. For a first timer, I would say look around and take it all in. It's really a great park. Enjoy a parade. Most people don't need more than a day at Animal Kingdom to see all it has to offer. We can usually get it done in a couple of hours. Hope you have a great time!

I was at Disney in Aug and it seemed like this park was not crowded AT ALL - I was there in Aug if 04 and Dinosaur was packed, last summer we practically walked right on. It seemed like everyone heads to the safari, which we rode, but the wait was only 20 min and that was after we rode dinosaur, primeevil whirl (2-3 times) and Kali- I would say get there early. That park is so beautiful.

We have been to Animal Kingdom several times and everytime my DH says that we canNOT come back until we have a place to leave the kids !!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! It's hard to keep DD (2)'s attention, but definately we ARE going just me and DH and we are going to do this park RIGHT!!!!
