Animal Kingdom Hours December 2019 (question)

I think I may have messed up. Got all my dining plans done for December 2019 trip (8th to the 15th). Then today I am looking at park hours for AK and it looks like it's closing at 6:00PM on our AK day (12/11/2019).

This is our only day in AK and we were hoping to see Rivers Of Light (missed it last trip). Our dinner is at 4:30, so no issue there.

Does anyone have any idea why the park is closing so early on December 11? (and also on the 10th).
If closing early for an Disney After Hours paid event, that would be OK, I could just buy the tickets.
But I don't think 6:00 is the normal closing time for DAH events at AK.

Any help would be appreciated!

More than likely a private event where a corporation has bought out the park for the evening.

I read somewhere that AK does something special for the evenings at Christmastime. Can anyone enlighten me? Is it just basically decorations? The article said you need to see these things at night. It might be the DAHs that you mentioned above. What is that?

DAK has historically not done much for Christmas other than some basic park decorations and small things here and there... BUT this year they are adding some new holiday inspired decorations, events, etc throughout the park. This Disney Parks Blog post from a few months ago has a good rundown:
