Animal Kingdom for a 4 year old

Depending on how tall your child is, they can ride everything in AK.

I believe the only heigh restricted ones are Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur & one of the carnival type rides in Dinoland.

A lot there for him. Don't miss the lion king show.

Based on experience, what wouldn't people recommend. For ex, I've heard It's Tough to be a Bug and Dinosaur might be too scary.

Let's see... not many rides. There's Dinosaur--depending on your child, it could be scary (DS4 HATED it and cried and cried) The safari is a must. Kali River Rapids was a favorite, too. It's tough to be a bug was fun, but could also freak out some 4 yo.s our DS4 loved the boneyard to dig in and FOLK was the best show. They also have our favorite parade (all of these not rides) DS4 also liked Triceratops Spin (Dumbo-like Dino ride)

My kids (DD5 and DS3) loved the safari, Festival of the Lion King, The Boneyard, the train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch, the talking trash can at Rafiki's, Triceratops Spin, It's Tough to be a Bug, all the animal trails, the characters, Donald's Breakfastsaurus and the bird show.

DD was absolutely terrified after our first safari which totally shocked me because I'm a zookeeper and we go to LOTS of zoos. It turned out she wasn't scared of the animals (phew!) but of the rickety bridge that is part of the lame-o poaching story. Once I explained that the bridge is just part of the Disney fun we thankfully got to do the safari again. Both kids could have spent hours at the Boneyard, especially in the dig area. We met tons of characters at Animal Kingdom and our whole family enjoyed the Donald's Breakfast character meal. We LOVE Animal Kingdom!!!

My DS LOVES AK it is his favorite. He was 4 his first time, Triceratops spin was his fave. :thumbsup2 He enjoyed the carnival games in Dinoland but I didn't like the extra price. :confused3

Dinoland USA is fun, (dinosaurs is scary DS did not want to do it but loved walking to the front and seeing Aladar)

Lion King show, Camp Minnie and Mickey is great to see characters, also there is Pooh and friends.

The Safari, Rafiki's planet has a petting zoo and fun things to check out (Stanley and Rafiki are there to meet)

There is Asia has a tiger trek and a fun walking thing....

AK is our fave and we spend all day there. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Our kids 5 & 19 months love AK. The only things they do not do are Primeval Whirl (48 inch height restriction, Dinosaur (to scary for DD), Tough to Be a Bug(again to scary for DD.

They love the Boneyard, TriCeratops Spin, The Lion King Show, Safari, Animal walking areas, Rafiki's Planet Watch and the character greets at Camp Minnie-Mickey. AK is their second favorite park after MK.
