Animal Kingdom Dinners

We want to take advantage of the extra evening hours at Animal Kingdom during our September trip, but there are always food dilemmas with AK.
We're thinking of getting there mid afternoon and staying until the late-closing time of 8.
Where would you all recommend for dinner?

Do you mean to eat dinner in AK? I've done EMH evening hours at AK four times, and always eaten dinner at Pizzafari. They and Flame Tree BBQ are open for two of the three extra hours. Unfortunately, Tusker House is already closed. There are very few people in Pizzafari, few people in the whole park, actually.

What about Rainforest Cafe?? I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. If your not looking for TS then Flame Tree BBQ is also good.

Not sure how much you like to eat later but I would have a CS meal before heading to AK and then enjoy the park until close (8pm)...then do a TS at one of the Monorail hotels. That way, when you are done, you can take the rail to MK and hop on your resort bus to end the evening???

You may be driving yourself so the above would just be silly. ...I do believe that the Yak & Yeti TS may be open by Sept so you may luck out with that?

For what it is worth, the CS at AK is great (we had Pizzafari & Tusker House) so maybe a TS for lunch and then just grab CS while in AK?

Sorry, OT here, but I just saw the Yak&Yeti a couple weeks ago, and it will be a miracle if it's ready by September (IMHO)!
