Okay...Thursday, June 19th, our first day ever at DW and we will be starting with AK, 9am-8pm. 4 adults and kids 16, 14, 12. I have been reading and gathering info on these boards, looked at Touring Plans, been to Easywdw and have come up with the following. Please critique.

Arrive around 8am.
Debating getting the Wilderness Explorer stuff first, but concerned with time it takes away from moving quickly to Safari. Thoughts?

Then...
Safaris
Mickey/Minnie Meet
Kali River Rapids
Expedition Everest FP+ 10-11(if I can get it)

Probably won't ride, but my kids might do Primeval Whirl and Triceratops, but probably not.
Dinosaur FP+ 11-12 (if I can get it)

Break back to condo

Back in the afternoon like 5:30ish,
Nemo 6PM FP+ perhaps
whatever we feel...

Thoughts?

I would not do Wilderness Explorer first. Hit the safari and then back track a little to get going on the WE. You could also hit some of the other rides without long waits and then do WE as crowds build.

I would do Safari first. Wilderness Explorers can really be done at any time and a 30 minute delay in getting to the Safari would negate any benefit by arriving around 8 am.

The goal should be (with an 8:45 opening) to be walking on Safari between 8:55-9:00, then back out front by 9:25.

I would say Safaris 8:55am – 9:25am, Meet Mickey and Minnie 9:35am – 9:55am, Kali 10am – 10:20, Everest 10:30am – 10:50, Primeval Whirl 10:55am – 11:10, TriceraTop Spin 11:12am – 11:25, Dinosaur 11:30 – 12pm then have lunch.

Obviously, your FP+ might change it, but I really think if you are there by 8 and save Wilderness Explorers until the afternoon, you won't need a FP+ until 1:30-2:30

Okay, no Wilderness early. Wasn't sure we would really want to do it anyway.

I was also told that we wouldn't need FP+ around 6pm when we will be coming back. So wondering when I would use it. Which would make more sense in the morning...10-11ish or 6-7ish?

It is probably just the way we travel, but I would ditch the afternoon break. You could do Flights of Wonder, and Nemo in the afternoon, and maybe a TS or Pizzafari and be refreshed. That would give plenty of time for WE!
