We hae a trip planned for the end of August with two little ones. My family loves AK, but we skipped it last October because of the walls. DOes anyone have any idea when the worst of the construction will be done? I know it is impossible to know, but honestly, if navigating is going to be a trial, we may need to reconsider our touring plan. Any help would be appreciated.

We went to AK twice on our Oct trip and loved it. I actually moved it up from my 3rd fav park up to second behind MK even with the walls. The walls where noticeable but it's still a beautiful park. I'm looking forward to going back in April, I read that a lot of the walls around Tree of Life have come down the last few weeks. There are still many up, but I say go and focus on the beauty of the park not on the walls, it's still a special place pixiedust:

We love AK too, so that is why I was hoping that it would be less obstructed. Your post makes me feel much better about including it on our plan. WE tend to skip it in August, but this is a first trip for my two little Princesses, and even though they won't know what they missed, i would. They love animals!

There were some baby Gorillas that were just adorable, we watched them for ages, and the Flights of Wonder show was great! I think your girls won't even notice the walls

The walls really don't affect any navigating. There are no closed walkways, just walls around stuff to the sides they are working on.

The walls around the tree are gone and it's just beautiful. They've brought the roots out to the walk area with more animals, it's more open and way better photo stop. The walls around the water will be another year. Avatarland has the walkway closed so that is no affect on AK. The walls in Africa are around a new area that wasn't there before so not affecting Africa. The walls around Flametree have closed the restaurant (food is available at kiosks) but does not impede traffic.

AND the walls at the AK are beautifully decorated and I could spend a couple hours just looking at them.
