We will be going to WDW hopefully soon and will be staying club level at AK. We have never stayed there before but would like to Request a room on same floor as the club level lounge. Thanks for the help.

I am not sure that there are any CL rooms on the same level as the CL lounge. I have always found it quite a trek, involving two lifts and a wander along corridors. Have you looked on the Touring Plans best room selector?

The lounge is on floor 6, which I think is a DVC floor.

We were on floor 4 this year and it wasnt too long a trek, just be ready to then leave for the bus / car rather than walking back and forward.

We had a club level room that took well over 10 minutes to get to the lounge. If you waited for both elevators, it took considerably more than that. We also had problems with our magic bands not working in the elevator to take us to the club level, and then had to go wait in line to get someone to take us up. We missed the afternoon soups because it took us over 30 minutes to get up there. The lounge staff was able to fix our bands, and brought us some chips, but we weren't able to get the afternoon apps.
In all honesty, I wouldn't stay club level at AK again, because it was a hike to get there.

The sixth floor only has dvc rooms ( as a previous posters stated.) Unless you have booked your CL stay via points,or able to get a CL dvc room direct...you won't be on the same floor as the actual lounge. You can put in a request to be as close to the lounge as possible. We have done that a couple of trips and we're just a bit away from the elevator up to CL. When we didn't request to be close, we were a fair bit away from the lounge. If you have mobility issues, put in the request. Have a great trip!

One consideration is that a 6th floor room at AKL isn't ideal because trees can block your view of the savanna and animals at that level. 4th floor offers a better view.

The biggest issue with getting to the lounge easily is walking the length of the corridors. Which floor isn't quite as important as you won't have to use stairs, just take the elevator up and down, which does take a few extra minutes but at least isn't strenuous.

As mentioned, the Club Level rooms on the 6th floor with the lounge are only for DVC. But unless you are at the far end of one of the halls, it's an easy walk, then elevator to the lounge. We've had the opportunity to try a few of the club lounges at WDW, and AKL Club Level is without a doubt the one we like best - the staff, food/drink options, the lounge - all really nice and a very nice perk during your trip. So we'd say make the reservation, put in a request for a room near the lobby/entrance (the lounge overlooks the lobby), and enjoy the stay!

CL rooms are on 4th floor ask for Zebra Trail, you will be on the same side as CL and will only need one elevator. We found it easy to get to. If you’re on the other side, Kudu Trail you’ll need 2 elevators because you have to cross to the other side.

I have stayed in both a regular CL Room and DVC CL Room. As others have said, only DVC on the floor. Regular CL rooms are mostly on 5th floor with Savannah views. Ask to be near the lobby and you won't be far from a quick elevator ride up to the Club.

Most of the rooms on the fifth floor are DVC villas with a few regular suites.

4th floor - AKL CL (Arusha Savannah)
5th floor - AKV/DVC
6th floor - AKV CL/DVC (pool/roof or Sunset Savannah)

We have stayed in all. Unless you are staying DVC, you will not be placed on the 6th floor. There are a very limited amount of studios/villas on the 6th floor that book up (some in seconds) at 11 months out. You also cannot request views.

On the 4th floor, you can either request Kudu or Zebra Trail (again, it is just a request, no guarantee).

Kudu Trail: you can access the CL via a 5th floor staired gate. Zebra Trail: you access via the elevators. We prefer Kudu, but, regardless of side, absolutely 😍 the Arusha Savannah.

The 6th floor has five two bedroom lockoff villas. Three on the savanna side (with a not so great view of the savanna) and two on the pool side. A lockoff is a combination of a studio and a one bedroom. So once a studio is booked that leaves four two bedroom villas and a one bedroom villa. When you book these villas, you don't get a choice of savanna or pool. You get what you get. These used to be the old smoking optional hotel rooms before DVC converted the 5th and 6th floors to villas.
