Animal Kingdom Characters - Who can you have?

Besides Mickey Mouse and friends, are there any other characters Disney will allow to be at a reception in Animal Kingdom? I know certain characters have to stay within their "theme" and aren't allowed in all areas. Thanks.

Other than Mickey and Friends, I think the only other furry Disney friends you can invite is Stitch. I've seen some fantastic Stitch pictures at weddings.

True to form, the characters like Goofy and Stitch that are supposed to be funny in cartoons seem to be funny at formal Disney events too.
