Animal Kingdom CB morning before embarking?

Anyone know anything about a special Animal Kingdom character breakfast prior to embarking on cruise portion of a land and sea adventure - supposed to be just for DCL customers. Supposedly, the bus to Port Canaveral would pick you up from Animal Kingdom, instead of your hotel. Anyone heard of this? Is it still offered.

I won't be much help, but there is a great
Character breaksfast at Donald's Breakfastosaurus
in Dinoland. We had a great time there. It is a
buffet style, Characters are there and come around
to the tables. It is not cheap, ofcourse nothing there
is, but the food was good and itwas a lot of fun.
I don't know about any special gathering there for
just cruisers, but if you are lucky you can get a
early morning reservation and then go to the ship.
You would need to call ahead to make Priority
reservations at 407-wdw-dine. I hope this helps some.

Earlier this month, it seemed to be the same character breakfast open to everyone, but you could get PS if you are a DCL'er. (It is the one that Bonnie is talking about.... they emphasized to us that it was the only character breakfast featuring Donald, FWIW).

What is special (as you noted) is that the DCL bus now makes a stop at AK, which means that you can get in a quick trip on the Safari and catch Festival of the Lion King before you head off to the cruise (assuming that you have either an UPH or don't mind blowing a whole day of a PH on a 1/4-day at AK).

We took advantage of this breakfast last November. I don't remember whether it was available only for cruise passengers, but our luggage was picked up at the Contemporary Hotel the night before, and we took our carry-ons to AK. We checked them into lockers near the gate (where there was early admission for the breakfast people only). After breakfast we were able to tour the park until about 11:45, retrieved our luggage, and met the other cruise passengers at the gate. Buses were waiting to take us to the ship. It worked well for us.

Thanks Karen. Did you have to get the PS for the character breakfast at AK the same way you do for the others (60 days ahead and call the 800 number) or is their a different means through DCL?

Yes you just make reservations thru the 800 number. We will be there this Friday so I'm looking forward to it.

We learned about the CB at AK upon arrival at the hotel, and were asked to make our reservations by Wednesday a.m. Had no trouble getting them, but it was the first week in November, and the parks weren't at all crowded.
