I read somewhere that they were reducing the open hours of some attractions in AK so that some of the animal exhibits open a little later and close a little earlier. My original plan was to hit some of these exhibits early when the animals may be more active. We are more interested in animals than in some of the more popular attractions.

I'm trying to decide what to do during a.m. extra magic hours after we are done with na'vi river without crossing the park. I don't want to go to dinosaur too early because we will want to go to that area later when Donald is around and the boneyard is open.

I haven't read anything recently about animal exhibit hours. But the general consensus is that animals are active on and off throughout the day and not necessarily more active early in the day.

Morning - EMH at AK is just awful with all the "reduced" park hours. We opted not to go to the crowd that would be Pandora and went to Dinoland USA. Dinosaur was broken, so all that was open was the two kiddie rides (which was fine . .my kids were excited to do Triceratops Spin twice with little wait). If the Boneyard was open, that would have been awesome, but it wasn't. I mean they still staff someone at the entrance to make sure no one goes in, so why not just open the thing?

AK just simply doesn't have enough attractions to warrant an morning magic hour in my opinion. The non-show attractions are too few and too far apart.

I guess you could just do the safari after Navi. (if the Safari is open that early).

Honestly I never even considered safari being open during EMH and just doing that earlier than the fastpass. That makes a lot of sense.
