if we book a 2 bedroom at animal kingdom lodge, and book a value or standard, what kind of view could we possibly get? Either at kidani or jambo?

Less expensive views are less expensive for a reason. If you want a better view, savanna is the way to go. Other views, you are taking a chance.

Value rooms are low in number, are only at Jambo at the front part of the building, are value because they are smaller than other rooms, and 40% have pool view, 40% savanna, and 20% parking lot, and you cannot request view with those. It is luck of the draw. They are also almost impossible to get unless you are an AKV owner who reserves exactly 11 months out.

Standard view rooms at Jambo have pool view or partial savanna view (which are rooms that were converted from savanna view because the views weren't that good). The Jambo 1BRs are comparable in size to the 1BRs at BCV, BWV, SSR, and VWL. All Jambo DVC rooms are on the 5th floor, except concierge is on the 6th floor which exists only above the lobby

The Kidani 1BRs will have road, bus stop, front entrance, pool, or savanna view. The ones with savanna view are ones converted from savanna view rooms to standard because view was not that good. The Kidani 1BRs are 100 sq ft larger than Jambo's, have two bathrooms to Jambo's one, more closet space, and a shower separate from the tub in the master bathroom (Jambo has a combined tub and shower). Kidani is all DVC rooms and thus the 1BRs are on all the room floors there.

So if I am a first time visitor to AKL And I like to be nearer the restaurants and more activity should I do Jambo house? From what I have read Kidani rooms are nicer but Jambo has the restaurants etc... Also I know I will be on 5 th floor at Jambo if I do a studio 2 bedroom etc... I am going to request a savanna view but was wondering which (if I even can) savanna Etc to request??? Just trying to get the most bang for my buck and AKL is kind of overwhelming to me since it is one of the few resorts I haven't been to

And your post was very informative ...thank you

Jambo has three restaurants, Mara a very good counter service, Boma an outstanding buffet, and Jiko a very good but expensive table service restaurant. Jambo has Sanaa, an excellent table service restaurnat not as prices as Jiko, but nothing else bu the pool bar.

For restaurants, a more "hotel" experience, much larger lobby and store, and the larger pool with lots of places to find shade, Jambo is excellent. If instead what you want is the best 2BR, Kidani wins by a large margin. It has three bathrooms to Jambos two and are much larger and nicer. It also has dedicated 2BRs (a booking category for a room that can only be a 2BR, while Jambo has only 2BR lock-offs, combined studio and 1BR). If you have savanna view, the dedicated 2BRs are ideal because they have one long open balcony that runs the length of the two bedroooms and the living room. Jamba 2BR is OK but you will have a barrier wall on the balcony separating the 1BR balcony from ther studio balcony.

As to a request when you have a savanna view 2BR at Jambo, our preference is to request Arusha savanna view (the savanna in the middle of the u-shaped building), along Zebra Trail (the right side of the U), away from the lobby. Rooms there have very good views and also face west, thus assuring views of pleasant sunsets in the evening and avoiding blinding sun beaming onto the balcony and through the patio doors in the morning.
