Animal Crossing!

Help! For those of you who listen to the podcast everyone's getting obsessed with Animal crossing! I bought the game and now i dont know to add friends! Can anyone give me some tips/pointers ?? THANKS...this is my coping method till we apply for FALL '09

You need to have their code. you can get your code from the dogs at the gate, then you add friend codes by clicking the heart tab on your dashboard.
