ANGRY!! Forced to Cancel Reservation

I AM SO ANGRY! Just got an email from Studios telling me the reservation I made in February would now need to be cancelled because the Studios is closing BEFORE my reservation. So now 80 days out I have to find a restaurant!

Their option was to give us a reservation at 4pm for dinner - not an option!

Thank fully I was able to get Kouzziana. Never been there. I hope it's good.

I'm sorry that is frustrating :( I have heard good things about Kouzziana so hopefully that will work out even better :thumbsup2
 
Oh that is frustrating but actually happens pretty often unfortunately..

It's kind of understandable if they are closing tho you really couldn't expect them to stay open for dinner ADRs BUT it would be nice if they called and gave you a list if options available in the area, but at least they offered you 4 pm which I probably would have taken if I really wanted to eat there.

Heard Kouzzina is great I bet you'll enjoy it & then you can spend evening at the boardwalk!

Im just surprised that they allowed me to make the reservation, which was done over the phone, if it was closing earlier. Basic software should have blackout times when the park is closed.

A 4pm dinner isnt an option for my family. Ive been to Disney tons of times and this has never happened before.

More than likely the park closing time was changed after you booked your dining- possibly for a private event and everyone with later ADRs will be called for the same thing. At least it was at 3 months out and not the week before.
 
We love to eat dinner around 4. Big breakfast quick snack and big dinner. Maybe late night snack if needed. Keeps up full and saves a few $$$ by skipping a meal
 
That is very disappointing but I can tell you Kouzinna is absolutely wonderful. We had amazing food and amazing service there. We are booked again for this trip! Hope it makes up for your disappointment!

If this is the reaction over an ADR needing to be canceled 80 days in advance, I'd like to see the reaction if something really bad ib life happened!!!:confused3
 
We love to eat dinner around 4. Big breakfast quick snack and big dinner. Maybe late night snack if needed. Keeps up full and saves a few $$$ by skipping a meal

thats what we do.. either lunch around 1 or dinner around 4:30.. allows us to eat ONE big meal and one CS with no issues
 
Which restaurant was it? Some places are so good that I would work my day around an early dinner, and others are just where we eat to be where we want to be in the parks. I certainly would not change my whole evening plans because of one place you can't eat dinner. We mostly do the late Fantasmic lunch package at DS and have a nice snack during the show. It really works well but we are very flexable.
 
I always like Kouzzina. And it's easy to get to from DHS.

I think it's likely the park is now closing earlier for a private event, and that wasn't the case back when the OP booked.
 
Be glad it was 80 days out and not 3.5 hours before....they cancelled Backyard BBQ Thursday at 3:00pm and the concierge even told me "We never cancel the BBQ, that's why we don't have a backup plan"......try making a new ADR at the same time as 100+ others who had to redo their plans and the system being down....took us 3 hours and 4 phone calls as well as a tearful encounter with the concierge and many failed attempts on the ipad. And then we had to settle for something we really didn't want and it was terrible....at least you have 80 days to find an alternate. Hope you like your choice! We've never eaten there before.
