LK...closed captioning??
Is that like reading Playboy for the articles, and not looking at the pictures??

Having a crappy night, and sounds like I need to referee in the family room....talk to you all later.

Lame catch up because I am starving and need to make dinner ;)

Cami, I have never been to NYC and had no clue that was at Central Park! Truly very beautiful!!!

LOL, Merry, I am over 25 at least and sometimes lack of sleep gets to me ;) but remember I am the *wild child* here :smooth: I don't need no stickin' sleep :teeth: :p

Donna, the Elf lady (Arwen... Liv Tyler) is *good* So she was helping Strider and the Hobbits :) Yeah, when anyone (Frodo, and even Bilbo way in the beginning) puts the ring on they sort of go over to the dark side.... kind of like what you'd see if you were on the evil side. I'll confuse you with that because everyone questions why Bilbo wasn't seeing that or feeling the weight of the ring that Frodo does, but as time goes on, the evil associated with the ring becomes more intense and as it becomes more intense it has more power and more bad will happen with it. Lost yet? Good ;)

I admit reading the books helps a lot with some of this too... but since the books are very "wordy" it isn't something I recommend. THe movies will pick up in "pace" and become less complex :)

Oh and what LK said is right... I have heard that for many closed captioning is almost necessary for the movies.

LOL, Alan... yeah Laura could read but I think it might take a while... plus there aren't any cute guy pictures in it... oh wait, that's ofr me ;)

Gail, glad you had a nice day!

Melissa, my good friend lives in Cancun with her SO and DD... they love it there so I am sure your parents will have a good time :)

Okay I am way too hungry now... have a good evening all and :wave2: to all I missed :)

Good evening.

DS survived the the dentist. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Then we went to Toy R Us, Dicks, Circuit City, and the mall so he could buy XBox, XBox Live and all the pieces he needed to get it running. It was a lot of money but he had saved for it. He is currently in the other room playing football with his cousin who lives in CT, and they are actually conversing via the headset. I am so awed by the internet and technology. (Or as my kids would say, "How old are you?")

The weather here was beautiful today. Up to 72º in Baltimore. DS had tennis practice, so it was nice to be outside.

Nice photos Cami.

I have a journal to go write in so I better get moving.

 my everyone has been chatty. I have about 7 pages to read. DH made me a "new" laptop and loaded the tax program on it. I spent most of last night attempting to do the taxes. We are not getting back near what we usually do for some reason. Since we wanted to use the return to pay for half our trip in November and since that wont happen we are rethinking the trip. Hopefully a great package will come out. We may decide to stay offsite to help out too.:( I really wanted to stay at POR. Oh well we just have to wait and see.
ummm....sneezing attack.....just lost my train of thought. Well I guess I need to catch up between tonight and in the morning. Nick is trying to finish the tests he started last week and study for the OPT's next week.
I also need to call and sign him up for baseball lessons either tonight or in the morning. Baseball season is a coming!!

E- Nick has read all of the LOTR books including Hobbit. He read them last year. I read some of them with him but he read them at school, for the most part, during his free reading times.

Carol - glad to hear DS survived the dentist. Nick has XBox but not any of the Live hookup. He wants a PS2 now:rolleyes:

Well off to make sure Nick is working on his tests. Have a great evening:wave2:

I just turned off the TV, too much noise, and nothing but the same shows I have already seen. Pete is back in VA, staying at the Royal Palace, the queen is in residense. He wasn't going to stay there, but he decided that if he didn't and anything happened, he would never forgive himself as it has been 5 years since he has seen his mom. He will take her out to dinner and then leave from there to go to the job, again. He should be home tomorrow night. I think that they are both glad he is there. As am I.

Carol, I am proud of Sarah for casting her first ballot. She will need to get either an absentee ballot or find a way home to vote in November. She won't be able to vote in College Park.

Alan, is the south rising again?

MP, I keep forgetting you are so close to your cruise. I am semi jealous of that. I love cruising, but did not like DCL. It is not my cup of tea, but I know so many love it, and you are among those!

E!, what was for dinner? I made fish fillets, but tomorrow I think it will be pizza hut delivery. I love those 4 in one box pizzas.

Carolyn, I sent all my stuff to our accountant in AZ yesterday. I hope we get a fat refund for a change. Iused to do ours, but when we incorporated outr business, we had to do monthly stuff, and it wasn't inmy field of expertise. We will probably get them done by someone always, Pete thinks we can't do them. And it's is some tricky with him working in MAss and living in NH, we have no state income tax, but he has to pay it in Mass. I have no idea how that will work.

Gail, glad you are getting back in here a little more. I hope the ILs are settleing in well, and that the health issues will be resolved soon. I believe that the good weather will help;

Melissa (GP), I saw the S word in your posts a bit back! Yikes, that isn't the best weather for your area, is it. I hope that the right job comes along soon. It may be the least expected one, so keep your eyes open.

Hmmm, I know I have missed a few, the entire PA crowd, the men, and my neighbor to the north! Hope you are all well and happy.

That's it, I have covered all the Angels and the cherubic men.

Even Lars, who is, no doubt, not even thinking about us at all.

Carol, glad to hear that Andrew survived and is enjoying his XBox!!! What a thing to save up for!!!!

Carolyn, sorry your return isn't what it normally is. I hope you can finance a trip somehow. Oh and I recently re-read the books myself as I was watching through the movies this fall/winter. I'm going to do it again and hopefully have them all done by the time the extended version of ROTK is released :)

Marsha, glad that your DH will be visiting his mom. I hope he has a safe last part of his trip though. Dinner was just some noodles with a little butter, salt & pepper on it. NOthing exciting. Tomorrow might be spaghetti although I am not quite sure yet. I tried one of those 4 in one pizzas and I lvoed it!!! Great crust!!! I really want to try a pizza with extra sauce, no cheeze and maybe chicken on it... somehow that sounds good to me and it would be a good way to try it :)

Well Luis is up here for bed, and I should probably go so he can sleep. Have a great night all!

GO PITT! Sorry Gail, but we needed a win after Sunday's lousy performance.

Marsha - I love those 4 pizzas from Pizza Hut too! I usually get one pepperoni, one meat lovers, and 2 plain ones for the kids. Yum! Glad DH got to see his mother after all these years.

E - I'm lucky if I can read the Reader's Digest every month, let alone one of the LOTR books!

Carolyn - there is nothing wrong w/ staying off site. You will still be going to WDW which always brings a smile!

Sandi - I am feeling better today. Took a Tums this morning which seemed to do the trick. How is your doggie doing lately?

Carol - we have a PS2 which my DS and DH play with. DH has some games which could be played w/ the internet, but he hasn't gotten into that yet.

AI wasn't too interesting tonight. And I forgot to mention how much I hated the ending of Average Joe last night. I told my DH to make sure I don't watch that show ever again.

Better tonight than during the Big East Tournament.....or the big dance!!!

Sounds like the rain is rolling in. We are supposed to have 100% chance of rain for the next 48 hours. Sounds like spring to me.

Allen and David went to the crossover ceremony for our Pack's cubs. We received one boy into our patrol and I think we are getting a transfer. I'm glad most of them went to other patrols. Ours is so big already and we have lots of younger boys.

Amy and I stayed home and she went to bed around 8:30. That's really early for her. I think she was worn out from getting up so early. BTW, the 7th grade band got a 2 for performance and a 1 for sight reading. Their director was impressed. He thinks they can earn 1's next year. It was their first year in competition, so I think they did a good job. Thanks for the pixie dust. She liked that.

We're helping David fill out enrollment forms for next year. I think I'll head to bed in a while. I'm sleepy, even though I took a nap this morning. Guess I'm lazy. :teeth:

morning all, got thrown off the computer last night so hubbie could set up some game for him and his friends to play online together???

Carolyn - staying off site is good, we did it for our first trip and then onsite for honeymoon trip, when it came to booking this years hubbie actually asked to stay offsite again! costs much less and you still get to do everything you would want to.

hope everyones good

Good Morning!
I'm up at my usual 5:30 a.m.

Watched AI and decided I liked Jasmine and John, although I didn't think that was a good song choice for John.(I've like John (they young redhead) from the very beginning)
I didn't care for Lisa's screaming at all!

Gaspode, DD and her fiance are going to Cancun for their honeymoon! Hope your parents have a great time!

SB, Glad you feel better! I was worred maybe you were coming down with that 24 hour thing. Went back to the vets on Saturday, he says he expects her to become progressively worse and develop an arithmia. The meds don't seem to be doing much, she still has fluid in her lungs.

E, "Boring" in the a.m (your words not mine) and "wild child" in the p.m. I think it's safe to assume you are NOT a morning person!

MaryJo, Stay out of Joanne Fabrics today! YOU don't need anything else!

Good morning!!!!

Can't stay and play.....but wanted to say have a good day!!!! :D

Good morning! We had a great time at the hockey game. Our seats were excellent - only three rows from the ice! During the second intermission, we were finally spotted by the team mascot (who I happen to know) and he threw a puck over the plexiglass to Leah. She was thrilled!
