When we woke up on Sunday morning, we had a bit of a slow start. We slept a little late and ate breakfast at the hotel. We spent Sunday morning (Dec 6th) at Hollywood Studios. It was still kind of chilly after the cold snap that came through the evening before, but it started to warm up later in the morning.
Since we were off to a late start, most of the "good" rides were already posting long wait times. So we just walked around the park, enjoyed the decorations, and rode Star Tours a couple of times. It's one of Gavin's favorite rides.
Our Matron of Honor, Erin, had called us the night before to let us know she wouldn't be able to meet up with us at 'Ohana. Her kids (4 years and 6 months) were just waaaayyy too tired. But she told me that they were planning to go to Studios on Sunday morning. So, while the guys were riding Star Tours for the last time, I sat outside and called Erin to see if they had arrived.
Erin and the kids were heading into the next showing of Playhouse Disney and we had about 30 - 40 minutes to kill before we could meet up, so Brian, Gavin and I ducked into the Great Movie Ride.
After the GMR, we went over to the exit for Playhouse Disney just in time to meet up with Erin, Erin's Mom (AKA, Mom Kearney) and the kids. I asked Ainsley (Erin's 4 year old daughter) if she had a chance to meet Mickey Mouse yet and she said "no". I told her that I knew the perfect place to meet up with Mickey Mouse if she wanted to get her picture taken and get his autograph, and she was very excited to go. We went into the "Animation" building and it was so exciting to be there with Erin, Mom Kearney, Ainsley and her little brother Brendan for the first time that any of them had ever met Mickey Mouse!
After meeting our favorite pal, all of us were getting a little hungry. We had a quick service lunch at the Sunset Ranch, where Brian and I shared a basket of chicken fingers and fries. After lunch, we headed back to our respective resorts to rest and get ready for fun times at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!
