Okay, this is almost too embarrassing to ask, but I must. I am new here so bear with me. I know that some collectables are no good after you take them out of the wrapper. With the Disney Store Pins, I would put them on a lanyard and trade correct? Or do they have to have the card attached? Thanks in advance for all who read and post..

:D

I hope someone has told you the most important rule on this board . . . there are no silly questions. :D

When you trade with a CM (or even a guest) lanyard, no one expects the card with the pin. So don't worry about holding on to the cards.

When people trade via the boards, or at some guest site (like WoD in WDW), you might be asked for the card. In my experience, this is still very rare. Probably the occasional occurence may take place when the pin came on a special card (instead of one of those black velvety ones). Then, someone may ask if you have the special card for that pin. Even so, 9 out of 10 times, if you don't have the card, the other person will still trade with you.

I personally throw most of my black velvety cards in a ziplock bag and fish the appropriate size out if someone asks, or if I'm mailing the pin to a fellow trader. (I think it's easier to bubble wrap the pin if it's on a card.) I hold onto the special cards separately, but I think I've only been asked to dig one out once or twice.

Have fun trading!

Ask as many questions as you want! :D

I throw most of the cards out. I've never been asked for one and no one has refused a trade. Only save them, like Robyn, if they are special.
