And there it is….

Unfortunately testing isn’t perfect and they will no doubt have an outbreak onboard
What is your definition of "outbreak"? A few people getting Covid? That will probably happen. Hundreds getting Covid on a 3 or 4 night Dream cruise? That's very unlikely. Also, since they won't be testing everyone onboard all of the time, how would they even know who had it? Most people with Covid are asymptomatic.

Yeah, as much as I really, really want to get on board, the mask mandate is just a no for me. I am going to have to stay with WDW for now. The moment I can be assured they will not have a mask mandate, I plan to book for Fall 2022. But I do not want to book until I know things will be "closer to normal" by then.

This...there won't be a wide scale "outbreak"...especially not if they're testing AT the terminal, enforcing masks, and social distancing. A few people are *always* going to get covid from here on out...its never going away. The best we can hope for is that it becomes just as concerning as the flu.

All Guests—including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19—are required to bring and wear appropriate face coverings during their therapies and treatments.

Wow, relaxing massage with a mask on? Too many dealbreakers to count...

Yeah, I'm right there with you. Plus we are booked on the Fantasy during Thanksgiving and it is by far the most I have ever paid for a 7-night cruise. Masks during spa treatments, having to reserve the entire Rainforest Room for 1:45 for one day $174? Reserving pool time? These restrictions are like WDW last summer pre-vaccines.

I am not going to lie-i am so happy we switched our land and sea to a split stay at UOR/WDW. While we are all fully vaccinated and will test when required, I just don't think its the right time to be sailing. Between the fact kids aren't vaccinated yet to not enough info about the pools and Castaway Cay requirements, I am happy with the choice we made, and if anyone is still sailing please stay safe!

Since we have 2 conversations on the same topic, and this one is shorter, I am going to lock this. Usually we would merge the 2 threads but since both are already long, the conversation may now flow well and will cause confusion I feel. The conversation can continue on the other thread. Thanks for your understanding. :)
