We have two nights at BCV reserved after our Oct. 5 cruise. Our AP's will have expired, so I'm looking at my options. I called the Beach Club for the price on a "1 night, 2 day" Ultimate Park Hopper pass, which I guess is the old LOS pass. We will be leaving by 2 pm the last day to catch our plane, so don't want passes for that day. Well, the price with DVC discount comes out to $108. The price of a one-day park hopper at the gate (to anyone) is $50.88. I realize we could go tearing over to the water parks if we have time with the UPH, but it seems like this is not a great deal for DVC members. Am I missing something? Diana

Yes. You can only go to one park on the one day ticket--park hopping is not allowed. If you wish to go to more than one of the parks in a single day, you will need to either buy an Unlimited Pass for the two days or buy at least a 4 day park hopper pass.

I'd give consideration to buying one of the other passes. You'll be able to use it this trip and have it as "back-up" for future visits when you might need a day or two. They never expire. The LOS is just the one-shot deal.

I certainly agree with Pam. Some of the longer term park hoppers are very good buys and they never expire. However, they do require you to lay out the money up front.

The UPH also includes admission to Pleasure Island and Disney Quest- besides all Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks.

For a 2 day stay, it is not the cheapest option if all you want to do is enter a park. It is certainly a good deal for some situations.

If you buy a multi-day Hopper pass and use the two days of admissions while you're there, you could simply use the remaining days on a future trip or even upgrade the remaining days towards another AP.

If you're going to buy a 4-day hopper, you may as well make it a 5-day. A 4-day hopper costs very close to 4 times a one-day admission. The fifth day on a 5-day hopper is half price!
