As Ian and I were thumbing through the TV, we went to DisneyXD and they are having an all day Marvel-a-thon. So it appears that they are seeding the young minds first. I am waiting for the Ironman Clubhouse "Come inside, I have cars inside."

There is some "legal-eze" that will allow it to stay as long as x = y etc, etc.

This isn't a surprise. The blogosphere was pretty certain the day that the deal went through that the very first thing we would see of Marvel at Disney would be content on Disney xD. The channel was created for young boys and the Marvel characters fit the bill. It was pretty inevitable and I think a good move for them to start getting the content they now own out there. If nothing else it will start to equate the two brands in the eyes of their target audience.

They actually called it the kumbaya-a-thon or something like that, celebrating the fact they were one big, happy Walmart product maker.

What is Stan Lee saying?

Nothing is going to happen to Marvel Super Hero Island at Islands of Adventure.

Universal has a life long claus in their existing contract that says the characters they are currently using cannot be used by another theme park east of the Mississippi. So, basically, Spiderman, The Hulk, Dr. Doom, and the X-Men (Storm Force X-Celerator) will not be in a Disney park anytime soon. Disney has already said they will honor existing contracts.

Now, if Universal wants to add another Marvel character to one of their parks....That's another story. They will need to get permission from Disney....Good luck with that.

even though Stan "the Man" Lee is one of the greatest geniuses of all time he has really no say in what goes on in marvel anymore he is still founder and share holder but its the idiot Joe Quesada that has the final say in what happends, Like killing off Captain America, but thats for another time,lol (can i just say civil war was one of the dumbest things ever created in the marvel universe, just like M day)
