Wow I can't believe they took the whole 30 days! So now the contract will be sent to me in 7-10 days!!! I hope the seller signs quickly and I don't have any of these horror stories I've been reading about with the closing dragging out for weeks. I want to book for August!

Anyone have any experience with how fast the resale companies usually close the transaction once they have the documents back? We're using timeshare title and more.

We are currently closing on 2 contracts.

On the first, we found out we passed ROFR on January 10. We received our closing documents on January 20. We sent back the money and the closing documents, and were informed that they were received on January 28. They told us they would close as soon as they received the closing papers from the seller. I called yesterday, but they still have not received the closing documents from the seller. Here is hoping the seller does it soon. They have had the documents for over 2 weeks now. This contract is with TSS.

For the second contract we found out that we passed ROFR on January 20. We received our closing documents yesterday - February 4, and are in the process of signing and sending them and the money this week. Hopefully this seller is a little faster . This contract is with Fidelity - and timeshare title and more.

By the way we are on day 2 of ROFR waiting for contract number 3

All in all the process is taking a little longer than we first thought!

We closed with your same company. We passed ROFR on December 20 and closed on January 6th. The points were not in my account until January 15. It seemed to take forever and our seller was very timely.

I remember we received notification we'd passed ROFR on Christmas Eve (what a great Christmas gift) and were able to make reservations using our new points on the weekend before MLK.

I just kept in touch with my title agent and found out a blow by blow. I was very impatient (excited) and wanted to know how everything was going since I was way up here in Georgia and the closing was going on way down in Orlando. It is alot of money out of your pocket so I feel you have the right to know as often as you like. The agents were very pleasant in handling my closing and all my worries.

All in all, maybe about 2-3 weeks depending on your seller.

Thanks everone! I'm hoping it goes quickly because the seller signed the original contract very quickly. The broker emailed the contracts out in the evening and both the seller and I had already sent them back early the next morning. I had her signed copy by about 10 am the next day, lol.

That makes me hopeful this will go fast! I am just dying to finally be in the system so I can make a reservation for August. I'll be happy staying anywhere but curious to see whats available when I finally get to call!

Congratulations! You were in the questioning process when I first showed up on the forums and made your offer shortly thereafter. I have been waiting to see how it all turned out for you. You really got a great deal! In fact, I was a little jealous. But I have since toured all of the resorts and found that I loved BWV and SSR the best so I've decided to focus on finding a contract at one of them. But I'm really really happy for you and your great contract at OKW!
