And a December weather Q

ok so what will I need to pack for a mid december trip?? We are only taking carry on's since it's just 3 nights/4 days. We've always done late spring/fall trips so it's always been shorts weather!!

We were there last year Dec 14-29 and I packed everything, but we were driving and wanted to be prepared with 4 kids.

We wore shorts everyday except 1. We had 1 day that started out in the 40's (F) and we had early ADR's so we were chilly, but we had pants, long sleeves and jackets.

The rest of our trip it was high 70's and some low 80's so we were in shorts & tees for the most part.

Prepare for anything -Layer.

Last year I bought and wore long underwear when we were at WDW late Dec / early Jan. They canceled the Spirit of Aloha the night we were to go because it was too cold.

Other days were lovely and we wore short.

Here is a link to the historical weather for Orlando from Dec 1 - 15. Generally it looks like nice warm days but with cooler evenings. We are planning on bringing some warmer clothes for the evening hours and dressing in layers is a great idea.

I love the weather in December. Very nice days, we swam every day, nights were a bit cool but if you bring a light jacket you'll be fine! .

You will not get hit with -20C or a blizzard. it may get a little cool at night or cool in the morning but nothing like up here, eh.
Drerss in layers. Shell, fleece, T, gloves, hat. Spent one American Thanksgiving working in Greensboro area of NC. 30C ever day with high humidity went to Target to buy shorts and T's. It would plummet to 13C at night and the locals were freezing. Me still in my shorts.

I am thinking the same thing.. I am getting close and excited and have lots of last minute things to do but my kids don't know.. it will be so much fun to see the look on their faces when we do tell them tho!

Last year we found it cool at night, lowest was about 9 C and the warmest during the day in the mid 20 C. Not humidity at all. We're driving so packing everything is not a problem.

COOL We requested loop 2500.. not sure if we will get it but it is what I requested.
We will be driving a black GMC Envoy XL with Ontario Loon plates.. if you see us pop by and say hi!

We haven't requested any particular loop because, well, we've never been before. We'll be driving the light green Ford Windstar minivan with Virginia plates. If you see us first, give us a shout. If I see you while we're cruising around on our golf cart, I'll be sure to say HI!

We went last December and we had warm, cool and 1 cold night where we needed a fleece jacket. My advice is...be prepared. Layers work the best.
