Anandapur Yak and Yeti

We are going in June and I'm thinking about eating here on our EMH night at AK. Any other better suggestions for dinner (we'll be heading to AK from our hotel!).
Thanks!!

We are going to eat there in 5 weeks, but really it is only to try out a new restaurant. We are just happy that there is one more TS place to go eat in the AK.

The food was good.... nothing phenomenal, but good. Look at my "I hate chinese food" daughters! LOL

But, some of our difficulties had nothing to do with the food. They stuck us in the corner, it was FREEZING and service was extremely slow. Luckily, the little one fell asleep so it wasn't that big of a deal....

We've eaten there twice. Once when they first opened and then this past Jan. The food is ok. It's overpriced for what it is though.

I was thinking the same thing, but the reviews seem pretty mixed on this one. I've never done an AK evening EMH, so the AK EMH is on my must do list. I don't know what to do about an ADR for that night. I don't want to waste a lot of time eating. If I do make a TS ADR, I want one that is quick and easy!

By the way - any guess on which night the evening EMH will be in June???? I really want to know.

We had lunch there in early November. It was quite crowded, but aside from that we were pleasantly surprised. We had miso soup and split the chinese chicken salad. The dishes were tasty and the portions was large enough to share. We're not keen at all on most of the 1TS restaurants these days. We've been seriously disappointed recently with Tony's, Chefs de France and Coral Reef to name but a few. Yak & Yeti was a nice surprise.

We ate there last September and loved it!!! We paid OOP for the Wok Fried Green Beans, and loved them!!! I had the skirt steak and shrimp, my 2 year old kept asking for more cake:rotfl: . My DH had the Seared Miso Salmon, he loved it, I thought it was just Ok. My oldest DS had the Tempura Shrimp and loved it, and my other DS had the egg roll childrens meal. He loved the Egg Roll, but hated the fried rice which was pretty bad. I say go and decide for yourself:goodvibes

We ate there in November and it was our favorite meal! The portions are very large! The food was good and the dessert was amazing--make sure to save room!!

It's "ok" for lunch but I wouldn't have dinner there. We now usually stop in at lunch time on our AK day and have several appetizers at the bar.
They have some beers that you can't find elsewhere on property.

We ate there in October 2008. We liked it and will go back. The fried green beans were fantastic. They are worth the visit. When I returned home, I saw that TGI Friday's has fried green beans on their menu, yuk. Disney's was so much better!

It seems like everyone that dislikes it is ordering the "chinese" like entrees. When my dh and I went he ordered fish and I ordered the ribs and we both loved our meals.

We just returned from a one week vacation to WDW and we had the chance to have lunch at the Yak & Yeti. My entire family of five LOVED it. We all had different appetizers and entrees and every dish was great. We were on the deluxe dining plan, and we ate at several signature spots (Flying Fish, Yachtsmans, California Grill), as well as our usual favorites (Kona Cafe, Cape May, Crystal Palace, Marrakesh, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, 50's Prime Time), and I have to say that my lunch there was one of the top three meals in the entire trip. We will be going back there next year for sure.

I agree 100%! MYadult DD and I thought it was one of our top 3 as well..we had lunch on the DxDP....

One of our faves! Food was very VERY good. And the staff was awesome as well. Wish I could go there more often lol.
Will go back:thumbsup2

we have had lunch there twice and it has become our must do restaurant for every trip...lunch is great...steak and tempura excellent..serving are huge...my daughter and i shared a desert for two...they are soo accomadating...she has a milk allergy so instead of ice cream we had lemon sorbet hot fudge she thought it was the best...
