I'm not finding much about this restaurant on the Disboards. We're thinking about doing a lunch there in August. Early reviews appeared to be mixed. Now that they've settled in, how is it going?

Thanks for any help!

We ate TS last week for lunch. We shared an appetizer and then each ordered an entree. I didn't like the appetizer or the entree I had, my DH's entree tasted a bit better.

Outrageous prices for the food quality. And the portions were huge. I seriosly think 10 people could have shared my lo mein entree.

Service was okay.

I have a friend who just returned from a trip last week. She said eating there was the "lowlight of the trip". Her husband sent the entire table of food back to the kitchen, they left. They are not picky or fussy eaters, either, so I have to imagine it was pretty ghastly. :worried:

A friend was there week before last and adored it. She said the wok-fried green beans and cream cheese wonton dessert were amazing. She also had the Steak and shrimp entree and said it was very, very good.

We decided to add it based upon her review.

We walked into lunch here last week - one and done for us. The appetizers were ok, but the lunch itself was nothing to write home about. Service was extremely slow too for some reason (and the restaurant wasn't too busy). The PP who said food court Chinese gone bad summed it up pretty well! :rotfl2:

Wow. Y'all are making me nervous! We have ADR's for this restaurant in July. We were excited to see a new TS restaurant at AK and wanted to try it. But, honestly, it's not worth the hassle of taking my less-than-enthusiastic-Chinese-food-eaters if it's just going to be mediocre and slow service to boot!!:confused3

I ate there in January and I really liked it. I had the lettuce wrap appetizer. It's such a big serving I just skipped the entree's and then got the wonton dessert. It was sooo good!

I am really looking forward to eating there on my next trip!

We just returned from a one week vacation to WDW and we had the chance to have lunch at the Yak & Yeti. My entire family of five LOVED it. We all had different appetizers and entrees and every dish was great. We were on the deluxe dining plan, and we ate at several signature spots (Flying Fish, Yachtsmans, California Grill), as well as our usual favorites (Kona Cafe, Cape May, Crystal Palace, Marrakesh, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, 50's Prime Time), and I have to say that my lunch there was one of the top three meals in the entire trip. We will be going back there next year for sure.

Well, there doesn't seem to be a consensus. I think we'll give it a try and hope we're there on a good day. Thanks for all the feedback.

I just got back from WDW (trip was May 9th - 17th) and I liked Yak and Yeti so much I ate there twice!
The only other place I ate at twice was the bakery in France.
I thought it was great.
I had the potstickers, dim sum appetizer, tuna appetizer and the cream cheese wonton dessert. All were great!

My family LOVED this meal. We ate dinner there in early May. It ended up being our favorite ADR of the trip. Our portions weren't huge but spot on and we ate all of our food. :thumbsup2

can anyone tell me who has had the lettuce cups... Do they taste anything like PF Changs?? TIA

I have had them and they were really good. I have not eaten at PF Chang before so I can't compare the 2.

Well, the lettuce is the same.:rotfl: The mixture is a bit different, but very good. I also had the chicken lo mein and it was very fresh and yummy. It had actual chicken in it, not chicken parts.

This is just our oppinion but we were a party of 3 and we all hated this resteraunt.....bad food and lousy service.....Hubby calls it the Yak and Yucky.....LoL:worried:

NO!!!!!!!!!! My 19 year old son and I both ordered them and neither of us could eat them.

Two of us in our party of eight liked our entrees. The rest of us didn't. Our service was excellent (but there were few in the restaurant that night). Even the desserts were just ok. It was our second least favorite meal of the week.

I think the green bean appetizer is worth the ressie and I enjoyed my entrees both times we have eaten there. DH is very underimpressed and only goes so that I can get the green beans.

I am not a big fan of Asian food and DH is. I like it and he does not. What does that tell you?!?!?!?!?!

We were at WDW a few weeks ago; we had planned to eat at the Yak and the Yeti, but, on the advice of a waiter (either at Citricos or the Cali Grill), we cancelled our ADR's. He told us there were still tons of kinks to be worked out and that the food was subpar.
