We are going to take one day and travel to San Diego by car and do the Old Town Trolley starting at stop A which is right off of I-5 on Twiggs St in San Diego. We plan on getting there early to start the tour first thing. This seems to be the best way to see San Diego in the shortest amount of time.
Question: We are going to be there during Labor Day week and have the option of either going the Sunday before Labor Day, Labor Day itself, or any of the other weekdays during that week. Which would be the best day? Would Sunday or Labor Day itself be the best since there will be no work traffic? Would we run into traffic coming back to Anaheim on Labor Day as weekend vacationers would be heading back home...or any of the other weekdays? That's a real big problem in our area as people escape for the long weekend and jam the highways on Monday nights.
Staying over in San Diego is not an option as all our plans are already planned and paid for.
