Anaheim to Route 66

We re staying at DL next year & will be hiring a car for the day. My hubby has mentioned he d like to see Route 66 but I vd no clue how far it is from Anaheim???
We ve got few plans for other places to drive to using the car so am not sure if this is something we could fit in to just a few hours

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 

Route 66 goes through Pasadena which is about 35 miles from
Disneyland. the world famous Rose Parade travels along Colorado
Blvd. which is the historic Route 66.

It then roughly follows the 110 FWY to the 101 FWY and follows
Santa Monica Blvd. all the way to the beach. While traveling
Huntington Dr, Foothill Blvd. and Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena you
can see “Historic Route 66” signs marking the way.

Same when you get to Hollywood and along Santa Monica Blvd.
