Just after some advice as a Disneyland newbie what to expect with traffic driving from Anaheim S Harbor Boulevard area to LAX?

I'm looking at booking an early flight on a Saturday, anywhere from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. depending on the airline. I'm wondering what the traffic will be like on a Saturday early morning? What sort of time would you advise to leave the Anaheim area to allow plenty of time to return car hire and check in without sweating on time?

A separate question what can I expect traffic wise driving from LAX to Anaheim on a Sunday late afternoon?

Thanks:) Sorry numerous questions coming over the next few months!

It should only take an hour or so early Saturday morning but allow 90 mins. About the same from LAX to Anaheim on a Sunday afternoon.

There will be no traffic at that time on a Saturday--you will FLY from Anaheim to LAX. As to how much time to allow before your flight, that depends on many factors including your own "pucker factor" with how early you like to be at the gate. Which rental car agency? Do you need to check luggage? Do you need to check in at the airline counter or will you already have boarding passes on your phone app? Do you have Pre-Check? Do you have CLEAR? Are you flying first class or have elite status in your frequent flier program? Which airline is it?

Sunday late afternoon will have some cars on the road but, barring an accident or huge construction, you'll still average 80mph on the freeways.

Can I offer some advice? Be careful if you use Google Maps and it offers you a "faster route." That usually means taking you off the freeway. We have ended up in some interesting places thanks to Google and now avoid any offered shortcuts between LAX and Disneyland. My favorite was passing a flaming shopping cart, and everyone walking around like it was perfectly normal.
