We've never stayed here but they have some really great rates for our anticipated and in the beginning planning stages October trip. Can anyone review this place for me? HoJo doesn't have the Ent Rate and I wanted to stay on Harbor if possible. It's just us, party of 4, we won't take the dogs, we will board them or have a friend stay here with them so we don't care about the pet policy. The parking charge of $4 is not that bad in light of the rate quote, I'm just not sure what to book. Are the suites worth the extra $$? Or will we be fine with a standard room with 2 queen beds?

No opinion ~ but I've booked them as well for 2 nights mid Sept. $59 per night. I'll cross my fingers for HoJo ent rate.

They have a $59 rate for our dates in December. Hojo doesn't have the Entertainment rate for us either...

We also booked them with the $59 rate for Sep 24-28. We also have Sep 24 & 25 booked with Hojo but if the other 2 days don't become available, we'll have to go with Anaheim Plaza.

It's good. Pool is wonderful. Easy walk, basic nice rooms. Parking plentiful.

I've stayed at the Anaheim Plaza a few times, but not in the suites, so I can't give a review of those.

The hotel is older, but the rooms are BIG and I always found them to be clean and kept in good repair (unlike a certain nearby hotel whose name I won't mention, that charges twice the price as the Anaheim Plaza!). Most upper level rooms will have a balcony that's big enough for 2-3 people to sit out on comfortably; most of the lower level rooms have a fenced in "yard" outside the sliding glass door. The pool is HUGE and there's also a hot tub/Jacuzzi. The walk to the Park is about 10 minutes from room to ticket boots. There's an adjacent restaurant that has an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for about $10. There isn't a huge selection, but the food was fresh and plentiful, about what you could get at Denny's but $10 for AYCE as opposed to for just one plate :thumbsup2

I can't review them personally but my mother in law has an AP and she stays at Anaheim Plaza whenever she goes to DL. She said that it's no frills but clean and the rates are really affordable.

We stayed i love it there and when i come back i will be staying here again.
We were in a delux room with a king bed its just the right size for the two of us, It has a microwave and fridge as well as a nice size bathroom.
The staff are very friendly and will always help you no matter what you need.
the pool and Spa are lovely the pool is heated so its a nice temprature and the spa is hot.
Its alot closer to disneyland than all the reviews say i would say about a five minute walk to the gate not just the entrance.
You can get wireless internet for a fee but its not as expensive as the reviews say either we got 30 days for 99 dollars.
You can pay by hour by day and by week/month.
hope this helps
if you have any questions just ask

We've stayed there a few times, and it is fine. Big, clean rooms and a huge pool! If we can't get Hojos, Anaheim Plaza is our next choice.

It's alright. Rooms are very large, decent staff, huge pool that's fairly well kept up, complex is clean, very reasonable rates, lots of parking, nice walking distance from DLR. Never had breakfast at their restaurant, but the food for dinner was very good and really reasonable (plus 1 kid free per adult which rocks!). The restaurant is only open on weekend I think during off-season, though.

That said, I've had a few "issues" the times I've stayed there. Once the a/c would not work at all. They were very willing to let us move rooms, but it was a huge PITA to repack all our stuff and move everyone (5 at the time).

I was just there a week or so ago. Stayed there b/c most other rooms on Harbor were quite a bit more $$. I had loads of issues with the water. I was brushing my teeth the first night and all that came out of the faucet was scalding hot, even when I turned on just the cold water. That happened 2x out of the 5 days we were there. Every time I took a shower, particularly if it were in the morning, the water would go from hot to cool to hot, over and over. Very frustrating.

Sort of petty, but the ice machines never have ice. That's kind of annoying when you're really wanting a cold drink and the refrigerator hasn't made it cold enough. Not that that would keep me from staying, just sayin'. :)

The furnishing are very old and the beds are VERY hard, so if you have issues with sleeping on hard beds, this is not the place for you.

They charge $4 for parking, but it doesn't appear to be anywhere on their site until after you book which is annoying. Still parking is plentiful and I've never had an issue there at all finding a spot.

I've never had the water issue before, but it might have been that they were very busy (church convention) or it could have been the room (529) :confused3. All in all it's a decent place for the money. There are other places on Harbor I like more, but I wouldn't rule out Anaheim Plaza Inn, especially if I was really on a tight budget.

Our rate in Sep for 4 nights is $270- can't beat that!

They automatically added a $4/day parking charge which I hope we can get refunded because we won't have a car.

Ya, I was hoping for the Ent Rate but they only have it for 4 nights and those aren't our nights. LOL $59 is what we normally pay for the HoJo, we love those pavilion rooms!

I got my Ent Rates for December, but I booked that Dec. trip back in May! LOL

Thanks for the info!!

So it's 9 and under eat free for every meal? I thought it was only breakfast? That's a good deal for all you can eat, I did notice that....I'm not sure we'd do it tho, we usually just get Costco muffins and eat them when there is no free breakfast at the hotel. :) Thanks for the issue reports, I do appreciate that. I don't know that we would even use the a/c going in October, but we might so that's good to know. I don't like hard beds but I can sleep on them as long as they are clean, that's my big deal, I need a clean room! No black feet from walking on the carpets....YUK! The hot/cold water deal would probably bug me but again, I could deal with it. The ice machine wouldn't affect me at all, we don't use hotel ice anyway so it's not an issue for us at all. :) We will be on a tight budget so that $59 rate is really looking good.....if the HoJo had the Ent Rate available we'd do that for sure but they don't so......oh and the $4 parking charge is listed on the website, it very clearly says $4 parking fee per day per vehicle, we will have our van so we will need to pay that fee. We will probably drive some of the time so it's good to know there are plenty of spots available.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, anyone else?

Can anyone confirm if you book online they don't take the payment out of your CC until after you check out? I'll probably book this tonight and if anything else comes up cheaper or equal (cough cough Hojo!) I'll book that.

This is also something I'm wondering, we tend to book with 1 cc and pay with another (rewards).

This is true- I booked our stay last Friday. :)

I just booked at the Anaheim Plaza this past week and can also confirm that the booking said they won't charge the card until you check in or you no show on your first night, then they charge the penalty.

Its been several days and I can confirm there is no hold or charge on my card from the hotel.
