I've stayed at both & would choose Stovall's unless the AP were significantly less. The AP is a decent (clean, fairly close to the Park, nice big swimming pool, balconies or fenced-in "yards" on the ground floor) but very basic hotel. Stovall's has been more recently updated and the beds are so much more comfortable there than at the AP. Also, free breakfast. It is further away from the Park (but still walking distance, just do the shortcut through the Grand Californian or it's a VERY long walk!).
