Anaheim Pirates Adventure Dinner Theater?

We did it a few years ago and didn't really like it. The food wasn't very good and the show was just ok. Before the show they have appetizers spread out all over the place and it's so packed in there you can't really get to them.

We did Medieval Times the year before and LOVED that! They are right near each other on Beach Blvd. near Knotts.

It's about 10-15 miles from DL.

I have been to both Medieval Times and the Pirate Dinner. I would never go to the Pirate Dinner again. I thought the food was disgusting. It really tasted like microwaved food. I was not impressed at all. My son, 13 at the time, really enjoyed it however. He did not care about the food at all. For him, it was that he was able to go onto the ship and participate in the show a couple of times. They pull audience members out and they get to do some things. He loved it. I loved taking pics of that though, so there was some value to me in that.

If the Pirate Dinner is something that you really want to experience, sign up for their emails. You will get discount offers frequently. I would not pay full price for that dinner. In fact, I got one today. Buy one, get one free, for shows through April 15.

I would pay full price for Medieval Times though (and have). The food is much better. The show keeps my attention much better as well.

We went two years ago to the Pirates Dinner Theatre, and we absolutely loved it! Very worth the price.

We were prepared for horrible food and a boring show, and were happily proved wrong on both counts. The food was great, our waiter magnificent, and the show was lots of fun for both us and the kids (8 and 10 at the time).

One tip, look around on the net and their site for sale prices. I remember that their site had great coupons, and saved us about $30.

Thanks Everyone! My son is 9, and really not into doing a character meal when we go to Disneyland in October- so I was thinking he might enjoy this. I did sign up for emails and coupons from them. We also found some videos on youtube, and my son wants to go!

Just an FYI -

If you decide to do Medieval Times rather then the Pirate Adventure, they have a special right now - Buy an adult ticket and get a kid ticket FREE! Tickets to MT for the 4 of us was going to be almost $200, but with this offer I got 4 tickets for $121 including the tax and ticket fee. :) Great deal!

We have done Medieval Times and Pirates.... Medieval was much better.... Pirates food was yucky! If you are going to spend the money I recommend doing character breakfast and a character breakfast or dinner at a different location. (try two different ones) The price may be even cheaper and much better food and interaction!!:)

I'm glad I saw this. I just got an email from the Pirates for discounted seats, and thought about doing it. I'm going to look into Medieval Times. I've seen the King Arthurs Tournament at the Excalibur in Vegas a few times, and if it is similar I know my kids would love that also. I'd rather go someplace with better food. ;)
