Anaheim majestic vs Park Vue

How was the room quality at the Majestic? I check Tripadvisor reviews every few days and several of the most recent reviews state that the rooms were dirty and dated. Has anyone else stayed at the Majectic recently? I was all set to keep my res. with Majestic, but just had the opportunity to change my Park Vue res. to 2 queen beds, so on the fence again about which hotel. Park Vue is still $600.00 more than Majestic.
From what I understand, the MG is in the process of renovating the rooms. So some rooms have been redone and others are still in their old state. Obviously, the hotel still needs to redo the carpeting in the hallways. So if you plan to stay at the MG, it couldn't hurt to request a refurbished room.

We will possibly be at Disneyland for two nights over spring break and I'm looking at MG. We are WDW veterans, but have been to DL a couple of times. Last trip we stayed at HoJo because we had an extended family group and the suites worked perfectly for room sharing. This trip would be just our family of 4 and the HoJo rates seem to be high that week. I felt like the walk from HoJo was fine in the morning, a little long at the end of the night with two tired kids. Would you say the walk from MG to DTD feels similar? It seems so far away on the map, but realizing we could walk to DTD makes it seem okay.

You could use the MG's private shuttle to/from the Harbor shuttle drop off or use the M&F tram, then walk from M&F to the MG. There is no need for your family to walk all the way to/from the parks unless you want to do so. The walk from M&F to the MG is maybe similar to the HOJO walk, perhaps just a little shorter.

Thank you! I just wasn’t sure how quick the MG shuttle was and would like to have the option to walk if it’s too crowded/slow.
