Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites?

Have any DISers stayed at this hotel or have any experience with it?

I checked tripadvisor but was wondering if anyone on the boards had been there.

Hi Beth! I stayed there years ago, and have friends (Ellen, who is coming with me on the Ladies' trip) who used to call it their regular Disneyland place to sleep until I turned them onto the HoJo.

It's nothing special, definitely one of those older motels. I have read that they have recently rennovated. The rooms are spacious and clean, but definitely no-frills.

Thanks! Some of the reviews were horrible and some said it was actually not bad. So I was totally confused. LOL

I'm debating on giving it a try because we can get a family suite with four beds, micro and fridge in October for not too much $$ online.

I'd like to do HOJO but I'm not having much luck getting a good deal and I'd need two rooms there....so I don't know.

Decisions, decisions!!

Have you looked at the Anaheim Plaza? I'd say it's a slight step up from the Islander, they have large family suites, within walking distance, and pretty darn cheap.
