Hi All! If given the choice between the Anaheim Hilton or the Anaheim Marriott where would you stay. These both appear to be very close to each other and the same distance from Disneyland (2 blocks). We've narrowed down our hotel search to these and want to hear any and all opinions on these two establishments. In case this information helps in your suggestion, the trip will be my husband and I (we're in our late 20's) no kids, staying for 7 nights. Thanks for all the feedback - I greatly appreciate it!

I have stayed at the Hilton Hotel and Towers in Anaheim. It is a huge property with nice rooms (some probably have terrific views of DCA) many dining facilities, and a great excercise room and indoor pool. THere is also an outdoor pool and whirlpool. I don't think the outdoor pool is large enough for a hotel of that size, but the indoor pool is large. Great transportation to and from Disneyland.

I have never stayed at the Marriott.
If you stay at either the Hilton or the Marriott make sure you join their respective reward programs and receive points. I am a member of both and it really pays off in the long run. I hope this helps.

Hi Larry! thanks for the information! Do you know if the Hilton charges for parking and whether they have refrigerators in the room (or if you have to pay a daily fee for one)? I've seen conflicting stuff on other websites when I've tried to locate this information.

Anybody else have opinions about Anaheim Hilton or Marriott? If you've had a negative experience please let me know that as well since I'd like to avoid the same. Thanks again!

We stayed at the Marriott in Dec. It's across the street from the Hilton and Convention Center. Parking is $10 (maybe $12) per day. They were doing some major remodelling in the lobby, but it didn't impact our stay. They have a unique pool (1/2 indoor, 1/2 outdoor), but not spectacular...just a convention hotel pool. No views to speak of. Starbucks in lobby. Great beds with down comforters and pillows...but the rooms were fairly small. Shuttle to DL runs every 1/2 hour...with two other stops (Radisson and West Coast Anaheim Hotel) Overall, I enjoyed our stay especially because we paid only $25 per nite thru Priceline. However, I prefer to stay at DL Hotel or Pacific for the Disney Feel!
Enjoy!

There is a fee to park at the Hilton. I don't remember how much it is. Probably around $10.

Hi Tracey !
I'm from Albany , Oregon !
I haven't stayed at either of these hotels so I can't be of any help with that but we have been to Disneyland 10 times . We have stayed at the DL Hotel , DL Pacific , Park Inn International and the Fairfield . I hope you get some good feedback , I know how important it is to be happy with where you stay . Are you flying down or driving ?

Hi Rhonda! We are flying down and decided to go with the Hilton December 7th-14th (a Friday to a Friday). I actually wanted Monday-Monday (3rd-10th), but the Hilton wasn't available. Nice to see a local on the boards. We've been to Disneyland many times and spent 11 days in Disney World in November '99 - what a blast! I'd love to go back there, but Disneyland is more economical since it's so much closer to home.

We landed a Priceline stay at the Marriott a while ago, $40/night. Nice hotel, average Marriott rooms - very nice overall. When we left the parking we were not charged as hotel guests, though we thought we had to pay as well.

Steve,
How do you do a Priceline bid? I would love to be able to get a Marriott room through them if possible. Can I specify the Marriott by Disneyland when I place my bid? We don't want to be too far from there. Thanks in advance for any help! <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif" alt="red face">)
