anaheim fairfield inn and suites???

I personally have no advice for this property. After doing some research, we also (three families) booked rooms here for July 05 - we are staying here three nights after our Magic cruise. I have read nothing but good reviews with tripadvisor. I signed up and everytime there is a new review, I get an e-mail. Some people who have stayed here also backed up the reviews.

Thanks for the reply I was getting worried that no one wanted to tell me anything about the place.

According to the maps and aerial pictures it is one hotel closer than the HOJO. They say it is about a 7 minute walk or so.

I stayed here a few years ago and didn't have any problems except there was a gap under the exterior door and there were some really strong winds during the night. I had to wedge a bath towell into the gap as the room kept getting really cold. Other than that, it was just fine. It's very close to the park but you may want to use the bus service in the evening after you've been walking in the parks all day. That 7 min. walk feels more like 7 miles... :D

I can only tell you from our experience in April 2000 when we went. Hotel was very clean and staff very nice. They had a small desk where you could book buses to other places such as Knotts Berry Farm and Universal Studios, and you could walk across the parking lot directly to the bus. The walk to DL was not bad at all. One morning I got coffee spilled all over me from youngest DS, and I managed to walk quite quickly back to hotel and back to DL without being winded! And we somehow got a room where we could see the night fireworks from the far end of the balcony. If we ever get there again that is probably where we would stay again. Also, this particular hotel was what Southwest Airlines Vacation Packages had recommended.

Texan -

Knotts Betty Farm - this is the second time I saw this name today (took a survey on-line for Disney Rewards and this was mentioned in of the the theme parks list). Exactly what is this? Thanks in advance.

Knotts is also a theme park that was built on land the was once a berry farm. They have a lot of really great roller coasters so many of the locals go there vs. DL. The children's area is Camp Snoopy. It's good if you have an extra day with nothing planned.

I just returned from DL last night. We had a GREAT time! We stayed at the Fairfield Inn. It was perfectly fine... very clean accomodations, friendly staff, good location. We arrived about 11:30 A.M,... it took less than 5 minutes to check in and our room was ready. The room is average size, but had a nice dressing area with sink and a refrigerator. The walk to the parks took about 15 minutes. I requested an upper floor facing the park, which we received... but to be honest, I would get a ground floor room right near the front of the building next time... just to save on walking. Afterall, you're hardly ever in your room! There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, where kids eat free, and a McDonalds next door.

We would happily return to this hotel. It's not a 5 star property... but very nice, clean, and convenient.

FYI - to add to the Knott's question, it's not on the level of a Six Flags (which I personally cannot stand) but it is an older park and at the time we went it showed its wear; and the majority of the workers were teens (nothing personal, I have one myself, but their interest in their job is usually below par) but we did have a lot of fun and yes there was quite a variety of roller coasters; we did three days at DL, one at Knotts and one at Universal; it was the perfect amount of time; if you decide to go to Knotts be sure and eat at their "famous" restaurant; their family chicken dinner was delicious
