Anaheim, ca transportation for disabled

We will be visiting DLR and are interested in going to Universal Studios for a day. In Orlando, FL when we needed to transport the scooter my husband has to rent we used Mears. Mears was really great. Is there a similiar company in Anaheim,CA that provides the same service? Picks you up at your hotel and loads the scooter, drops you off, and then you call and they return you to your hotel. Thank you in advance.

This is going to sound funny, but his scooter battery tends to run low because we never stop during the day til late at night. We have learned where there are plug ins to charge it at DWD, but has anyone else had this problem at DLR and could tell us locations we can recharge the scooter battery besides the hotel room. Again thanks in advance.

1. I don't think there is any comparable service. Not only is it about 40 miles, going through Los Angeles, but they are in different counties. You may need to use taxis or do a one-day rental and break down the ECV and put it in the trunk.

2. I make it a point, if I am worried about the battery, to when I stop to eat I will locate an electrical outlet (usually they are near rest rooms) and this will add a 30-minute to one hour charge to the battery.

I took one of the motorcoach tours to Universal, from Anaheim, a few years ago. A bus picked me up near my hotel and stowed the ECV in one of the luggage compartments, then we went to the central location so I could pay for the tour (and where passengers for different tours distribute to the right buses), then I got back on the same bus.

Of course, if you plan ahead instead of booking it at 6 the night before your experience will likely be smoother.

It has been about three or four years, but the answer then was no. Long ago you got picked up at the hotel and went to whatever attraction, my DD was in a w/c. But last time we decided to go, which is about once every 5 years or trips, we noticed that you where picked up at hotel, then transported to abus station, where you transferred to the bus you wanted and then went to the attraction. Then you had different times to come home like a bus would leave at 4,6 and 8. We were thankful that we did not have a w/c. One thing also is that in ca they try to make you stay in the w/c also, they hate when you get out and take another seat.

Was it Grayline? If so, that might just be their procedure. It is for their Disneyland Resort Express service; there's a stop at DLH where you pay and either stay on that bus or move to a different one. It wouldn't surprise me if they did the same for their tours as well.
