I need help choosing between the two. We will be at DL in may for 9 nights and I cant decide which one to stay at. Has anyone stayed at either one of these? Help please!

Will you have a car?

Hilton charges $15/day for parking.
Anabella charges...$10, I believe.

Hilton you will probably want to take a shuttle in (ART or I think they share with Hyatt's shuttle?).

Anabella you can walk either towards Paradise Pier, through Grand Cal, and through DTD, or you can walk the other way towards one of the parking lots IF it's open, and take a tram in.

CCI has their own private shuttle (one of only two hotels, maybe three, with their own).

I really liked Anabella when we stayed there. We had a first floor room, and those rooms have wood floors! I loved that, it felt so much cleaner than a carpet. The quiet/adult pool looked lovely (we never saw the othe rpool, and didn't use either pool at all). The staff was very VERY nice, always had a smile, opened the doors, very kind and polite. Since I was there pretty much the first week they started charging the parking fee, they were getting yelled at, but remained kind and polite, which was amazing.

Hilton was nice, but full of conventioneers, and the drop-off spot was in the middle of smoking-world, LOL. We got in very late, around midnight, and all the convention people were drinking inside and coming out to smoke, and they don't have the same "25 feet from the entrance" rule that WA does, I guess. But the room we had was very quiet, and if I hadn't had some strange insomnia that night, I would have slept soundly on their comfy beds.

Those are the two I have experience with...I wish I had experience with CCI!

I think parking at Anabella is $7 but you can get it for $6 if you pre-pay for it on their website while booking. Not sure if they give you the same deal by calling them. We haven't stayed there but looked into it.

I stayed at CCI, oh about 16 years ago. That was awhile ago, i know, but from what I've read it sounds like it's still good. I thought it was a great little hotel and would love to stay there again.

Thanks for the responses guys! I really appreciate it. We wont have a car so parking fees wont be an issue.

While a convention hotel, I like the Hilton Anaheim. I've stayed there over 50 times and never had a bad stay. They are going through a remodel and the new rooms and fabulous and comfortable!

Out of those choices I'd go with the Hilton as well. It's a nice hotel, great beds, new TVs in the room, lots of plugs and everything else I like in a room. The hotel has a shuttle to the park that runs often enough. It's definitely a convention hotel though so if you're looking for a Disney feel with a lot of vacationers it's not the right choice... not that they don't cater to Disneyland visitors, just that it's a different style than the other properties you mentioned.

When you say the Hilton has a shuttle to Disney are you refering to ART? Or is it actuall ddedicated shuttle to and from the hotel?

We stayed at the Anabella hotel and LOVED it! We had small suite, I forget what it's called, but it had a small separate room with a day bed and tv for the kids. IT was perfect for us.
We got parking for free because we are AAA members.
We walked to the park every day by crossing the street into the parking lot. We took the tram into the park that way. We were there over Christmas, so it was busy, which is why the parking lot was open. I am not sure how to find out when the parking lot is open or closed though.
The staff was fantastic, the rooms were newly renovated, and we got a really great rate.

I just stayed at the Anabella, and we were charged $10 parking, plus parking tax, bringing it to $11.50. Parking tax? What the heck is that?!

I think you're referring to the Casita Suites? I stayed in one of those too. They're nice enough rooms. I've stayed at this hotel many times, and have never had an issue. The Hilton isn't bad either, just more of a trek to the park. Can't comment on the Candy Cane Inn though.

I just looked on the ART website, and they say that the Hilton has two ART kiosks, and that they serve the Hilton. So I wouldn't think they have their own (even though my first reply to you included info that i thought maybe they did), but I think a call would be best.

I looked on the route map, and they do list the Hilton, while they don't list the Candy Cane Inn, and I KNOW they have their own shuttle, so that might be indicative...
