Anabella Hotel: Fridge and Microwave?

Hi! We've booked our room through Disney at the Anabella hotel, mostly because the pictures they have online show wonderful rooms (and mostly ignoring the reviews we've seen on here...hope we don't regret that later) but also because of proximity and price.

I do have a question about Anabella, though. Do their rooms have fridges and microwaves? I can't find that information anywhere on their website, and I find it strange that they wouldn't. With my experience, most hotels have them now. We're doing the WOC PD our first full day at Disney, and we know we will have leftovers to take back to the hotel. Just want to be able to store them properly and eat them the next morning for breakfast (mmm...pretzel bread. If it's anything like the bread at Cinderella's Royal Table, I'll be beside myself and smuggling as much away as possible).

Thank you!

I just called and was told that all of the rooms have refrigerators, but there are no microwaves.

We stayed at the Anabella in February and were very impressed with it. The rooms were fantastic, and it was a really pleasant walk to the parks along Disneyland Drive. I haven't seen any terrible reviews on the Disboards (or anywhere else, for that matter) but I can reassure you that we enjoyed our stay there and had no complaints! The wood floors were really nice, too!

I can also confirm that there are refrigerators but no microwaves. I don't believe microwaves can be requested, either. I think I tried before our stay.

Have a great trip!

Thank you! Glad to hear we will at least have a fridge for DD's milk and juice and any leftovers we have from our WOC dining experience. Also glad to hear some positive reviews on Anabella. Many of the reviews seemed to have been from a year or two ago, and I've heard Anabella recently renovated. I'm looking forward to the wood floors. Cannot stand the feel of hotel carpeting. Thank you again!

We stayed at the Annabella at Christmas and it was lovely. We even got upgraded to a Mission suite. The beds were comfy (really important to me after at day at the Land) and the staff was wonderful!

Just had a two night stay there. The employees were very kind, though just as an FYI, if your comforter is thrown up on in the middle of the night...you can't get another b/c it has to all be washed and dried then returned...they don't have extras. Oh how I wish I didn't know that...:headache: (it was supposed to be a one night stay followed by one rockin' day at the parks with my kid...but at 2am while sleeping those plans changed, poor kid)

If you stay club level...the breakfast is pretty bad, IMO. The manager said that there will be a free upgrade on my account in the future because I let him know we had just skipped the breakfast on the second day because it was so bad... (not that DS wanted to eat much anyway, but *I* was hungry!)

This might have changed, but when I first stayed there in late '07 I was told that the wood floors were only on the 1st floor. Might be different, but be aware of that possibility! :)

Wow! How did you get upgraded? I can't imagine we're going to luck out with that this summer during peak season.

That stinks...I don't think we'll have the sick on the comforter bit as DD is still sleeping in a pack n play right now. I do hope that none of us do get sick during vacation. Makes for miserable memories.

You never know your trip could be the perfect time for an upgrade!
We were there the week from Christmas to New Years...notoriously busy time! The upgrade was a complete pixie dust filled surprise to us. We had booked the Casita Suite. I asked about it the next day and the manager said they were fully booked at the lower price points and had a few upper level rooms standing empty. Walk-ins tend to want the lower price points so they upgraded some of the Casita suites to Mission and some standards up to Casitas in order to have the rooms that were empty be standard for the last minute planners and walk in folks.. I am sooo glad I plan ahead!

Also the Mission Suite was an upstairs room and did not have wood floors so I believe that is correct info from the PP. The carpet was clean though and it did have the granite floors in the bathroom which were wonderfully chilly and did wonders for sore DL feet at the end of the day!

Another Pixie Dust filled thing that happened at the Annabella was our maid.

Our son has a pillow pet "Spotz" that he sleeps with. After our first day at the land we returned home to find "Spotz" was no longer on the bed but had been "made up" from a pillow to a pet and was cozied up in the chair in my son's room reading one of his books. My son was delighted that "Spotz" had found something to do while we were at the park.

I mentioned how wonderful I thought this was to the manager and asked that he thank our maid (we had the same maid all week) She got really creative after that on different days that week we came home to find "Spotz" on the couch with the remote, At the desk perusing DLR maps, and once brushing his teeth in the bathroom. It made leaving the parks each night fun and my son didn't drag his tired feet as he was excited to see what his pal was doing each night when we got back. Needless to say this maid got a nice "Holiday bonus" from us!
