An unhealthy addiction

I collect watches. Nothing hugely expensive - they cost from £2 to £250. No Rolexes or anything. But I have a lot of them. Like, 30 of them. One a day for every month. I prize uniqueness and dress watches. I really love them. But quite a lot of money has been sunk into them. I'm done with buying new ones, for a while at least. Is it a really unhealthy addiction?

As long as you’re not ignoring your other needs and essentials with respect to finance… enjoy!

If you love buying them and wearing them, or even just looking at them, it's no one elses business.
I collected teddy bears until they filled a whole bedroom. Why? Because I got joy from them. I did get rid of them and only kept my special ones such as Annette Funicello's favorite teddy bear which is a cheerleader. She was on QVC and selling her bears. She made one a cheerleader because she was never able to be one and always wanted to. I now have 4 bears.

I do find enjoyment in my watches. I have too many though. Time to sell a few off and consolidate my collection to the ones I truly like.

Smoking is unhealthy and drinking alcohol (a lot at least), collecting watches - why not if you like it

Wearing my second favourite watch today, a Swan and Edgar Complexity. Cost under £200, but feels and looks, IMO, better than many ultra-high end watches.

My favourite is a Longines, a gift for my 18th birthday. I love it. But that one's only for special occasions.

We have friends whose marriage on the rocks because the husband is obsessed with buying guns and ammo, I guess he has 300 guns and has maxed out credit cards. He says it makes him happy. SO things do get out of control
