Hi all my lovely Disney Addicts!

So last month I experienced a very unexpected split up. But how does this have anything to do with Disney you ask? :confused3

Because the trip was planned already. We rented DVC points so no turning back. :scared1:

For a split second I thought I would just waste the money and not go, but then I got to thinking, "if anyone deserves this trip it's me." So I've decided I'm going to go on my first solo trip!!!

I will be in the world September 12-15 with a day at Universal on the 11th. I'll be attending MNSSHP on the 12th. :stir:

Just curious if anyone will be in the area at that time and like to do a meet. :thumbsup2

I have had my moments of intimidation about doing the trip alone. But I'm looking forward to some time with me, myself, and I!

Maybe I'll hear from some of you crazy kids!

Sorry to hear about your breakup - but definately don't cancel the trip.

It's different traveling alone but a good different. It's like having sole control of the remote - no one else to make happy but you!

Enjoy!

I'm soooo happy for you!! Well not the break up but the solo trip. It was my best vacation ever!!!!! I will admit I did have a few sniffle kind of moments being alone, but overall it changed my life.

giggles!! Exactly!! And you do have sole control of the remote!!! And no negotiating of what to watch and where to sit or when to eat or.......

Have a blast!!!
:dance3:

I agree. Go, enjoy yourself. I have been on 2 solo trips with the 3rd planned for October. I love it. It took some getting used to but I got out of my comfortzone on each trip. I struck up conversation at the parades on each trip (very unlike me). Between the 2 trips and 8 days total I went alone I went on 5 rides. I just did my own thing, took my time exploring, ate when I wanted and where I wanted. I did a lot of people watching (one of my favorite things) and I enjoyed every second of it.

Sorry to hear about your break-up but that, along with the solo trip, might be the best thing that has happened to you.

Thanks! I only questioned canceling for a few days then decided I needed this now more than ever! I can't wait to have full control of the remote! :thumbsup2

I'm soooo happy for me too! :rotfl: I'm expecting to have a couple sniffle moments but I won't let them bring me down.

Wow 3 solo trips that's awesome. I've actually been contemplating upgrading to annual passes so I can have a year of fun and experience every season! But not fully decided on that.
Thanks! At first all the cliches really made me upset, but the more time that goes by I'm realizing I'm ok and this is a good thing!

My wife told me she wanted a divorce 8 days before my birthday last year. I knew it was coming but it still hurt to hear. I was heartbroken. Now that almost a year has passed and I have had a chance to separate myself from the situation a bit, I now feel exactly how you do. This will be a good thing for me. We still live together for now for financial reasons but I am now seeing just how negative of a person she has been all these years and how it dragged me down. Of course I feel stupid for not having seen it all this time but I see it now and I truly feel life is starting for me at the age of 40.

Much like you, this will be my first solo trip since we decided it was over. This trip will be much different than the previous 2 and I am nervous but can't wait.

It is all still hard but going to Disney will make it a little bit easier for me. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

A bad day at WDW is still better than most days anywhere else.

I'll also be traveling solo from September 10-20th (planned that way). Mid 30s, female, artsy, type into festivals. My fave park is Epcot but I like the rest too. Plan to do the park hopper + 1 day at Universal. Please shoot me a private e-mail.

I don't think it's something that's never hard especially if you were completely blindsided as I was. But I can def feel myself getting stronger every day.
Exactly I couldn't imagine a bad day at Disney. So excited to experience it through a new set of eyes.
I hope your trip is lovely.

Oh awesome! I'll shoot you a message.

I will be in the area from 8 september till 18 september. Visiting both Disneyworld and Universal Resort. Wanna meet up for a drink in the parks or do some attractions together, just let me know.
