An October 2012 trip in the making Update 10/4 - Final update

I love Prime Time!!!!! Love when you get a "good" waitress/waiter who knows how to really play along with you!! :rotfl: Great fun & good food!! :thumbsup2
Been twice and once we had a good waitress and the other not so much. Hoping we get a good one.

We really enjoyed our Prime Time meal in 2010 -- so, what do you want to order, Scott???
I definitely know the PB&J shake. Maybe the fried chicken. We shall see. We will share the onion rings.

I wasn't a fan of 50s ptc :confused3, I had the pot roast and it was just ok, the pot roast at Liberty Tree Tavern was much better. The PB & J shake was good.

50s Primetime is one of my favs! I love the fried chicken and s'mores. YUM!
The fried chicken is good there. Never had a s'more.

The shake is my favorite thing there. Vinny had the pot roast at LTT ands really enjoyed it, I don't like it. :rotfl:

I liked Prime Time but I had to eat DHs veggies because he didn't want to get scoled by the waitress like DS did :sad2:

Hi Scott,
I finally made it over to your PTR. I'm the same way with the resort switching. Unless it's Y&B or Poly I will change my mind 50 times :rotfl: Your dining choices look great!!

:rotfl2: that is funny. I would have called the waitress over and old on him.

:welcome:
I called today but I will update that tonight.
Thanks. Those are also ever changing. :rotfl2:

Scott, if you love chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers, try the s'mores. Delish!

I have not eaten at 50's primetime since 1992, I was 23.. We were in a car with a mom and dad and child in front of us. We were 2 adults. The child waved and said hi to me, I guess the mom didn't like that. And told me if you say hi back he is just going to keep doing it so stop it :sad2:

That left me with a bad memory and never went back after.

I like walking around DHS at night when we have a late ADR, after the crowds have left and before you are encouraged to be on your way. Love the twinkling lights in the trees in front of the Brown Derby. It is nice to just sit there and take it all in.

No cars there. That is Sci fi. 50's is the old time place with tv's at the tables.
I love walking around all the parks after most people have left. So peaceful and beautiful.

Goes to show what a bad taste it left in my mouth, I've blocked the name, ;).
I am no help for the real 50's primetime, we never ate there . We did have drinks in the cocktail area ages ago. Do you remember I think it was the cat walk bar, that was years ago in MGM.

Do you like the Brown Derby, I love having a nice leisurely lunch on the outside area when it is not too hot.

:lmao: Nah, paybacks are a youknowwhat...and DH is relentless....I can't imagine the payback :rotfl:
:rotfl2:
I guess that was a good idea then.

:rotfl: I guess so.
I like the bar there. Had a drink a few times there.
Never been there but am considering it. I might do the "Dine with an imaginear".

Have you stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort and if so would you recommend it?

Yes and I highly recommend it. I would have stayed there on my upcoming trip but needed to go value for my DD. The next time Jim and I go alone we are staying there again.

Thanks.

Well did you hear those winds? They were the winds of change and they came blowing through with a fury. It was really needed. Like I had said we had stayed at Coronado Springs before and we both really enjoyed it but I don't want to keep going back to the same resort so a change was needed. Now I booked this part of the trip as a room only through AAA and I think I am annoying her. :rotfl2: Oh well it is her job.

So now we are staying at.

I was here once to look around back in 2008 and once in 2009 but that was a drop off and back on the bus being Vinny got sick.

The buildings look pretty.

I don't think we will be visiting here. LOL
ip-dip-1587.jpg

I do look forward to walking along the paths.

This looks like a quiet pool which looks nice.
ip-dip-1590.jpg

So relaxing.

The restaurants here is Shutters. We might eat there one night to try it.
ip-dip-1599.jpg

Of course I will be visiting the gift shop.

The seating for the quick service. They have several stations so I think we should be fine to find something to eat.

So that is where we will now be from 10/13-10/20. I am really looking forward to it and I put in a request for the Martinique section. I read that it is the first bus stop usually.

So I am happy with this decision and I will NOT be changing again. Stay tuned for day 3 plans to be posted soon.
