If I rip all my songs in iTunes ( not dowloaded songs ) can I hook up a generic MP3 player to iTunes or my computer to get those songs over to the mp3 player?

On this computer I don't have a single downloaded song. I do have 1300 songs that I ripped to mp3.

In Itunes under preferences there is a section called "advanced." There you will find a place to select how to rip (or import) files. Set this to mp3. This way they should work on any mp3 player.

Yep - you can set it up to rip in MP3 format. For the ones you've already done, you can convert them in iTunes into MP3 format. It's very easy - just highlight the song you want, click on "Advanced" up on top and choose "Convert Selection to MP3"

It'll probably take a little while since you have so many songs, but can be done. Not sure if there's a way to do multiple songs or not as I've never had to do that. Maybe someone else can jump in with info on that.

That part I undersatnd. I already ripped 1300 songs that way. I just want to know how to get them over to a regular mp3 player - not an iPod.
